✅The Turkish cement industry traces its history back over more than a century to 1911, when it had a capacity of just 20,000t/yr from the Aslan Çimento plant in the then-capital Istanbul. However, until 1950 little development was seen in the industry with just four new plants at Ankara, Zeytinburnu, Kartal and Sivas.
