absolutely kills me how david wanted matteo so much he broke all his self-imposed rules to befriend him and kiss him and spend a night and a day in bed cuddling and talking with him,,,,,but like, he kept telling himself it was okay because matteo had a girlfriend, matteo didn’t want anything serious with him, this didn’t mean as much to him as it did to david. like the fact that that’s what he told himself to try and feel BETTER about what he was doing! but ofc it only made him feel WORSE because in his heart of hearts he wanted to be with matteo fully and completely and for matteo to want to be with him the same way. and then matteo tells him he dumped sara for david and how HAPPY that must have made him because matteo wants to be with him and cares about him more than his gf it’s exactly what he wanted to hear but he couldn’t really be happy about it because it meant matteo would want more from him, more that he couldn’t give, and that’s what made him decide to dump matteo for good and never talk to him again (which ofc made him feel Miserablest). like god the layersss the pining! but now ! he knows matteo is gay and only ever wanted him and he never has to go back to those negative thought patterns and trying to convince himself matteo doesn’t care because he Knows matteo loves him and most blessed of all he can REVEL in that knowledge and let it make him happy instead of being afraid of it !

literally the energies of this picture r so good and powerful,,,,,,,the bright colors,,,,the blurriness making it feel so genuine and not rehearsed or staged,,,,the way it looks like matteo just grabbed him and like he’s .2 seconds away from wrapping his legs around david’s waist and expecting david to lift him (david is ready), the fact that david clearly either just had his hands on matteo’s ass or is about too sldkfjklsf good for them, how david is obviously Being Kissed idk i love matteo taking action and kissing the crap out of him like it’s what david deserves!!! matteo’s stupid freaking costume and wearing a big bulky jacket with rolled up sleeves over the sweatshirt everyone is wearing and the fringe of his bangs sticking out....like! he looks so messy and goblin-y and really highlights the beauty and wonder for me that THIS BOY has become david’s home. the people actively cheering them in the background like just showering them w/ love and acceptance (good!) and it being LEONIE like not even someone you’d necessarily expect to be featured in this moment but yk someone from matteo’s side of the narrative and from david’s....it’s nice!!! and yeah again the way that this picture highlights imo,,,,the unrestrained way that matteo shows love,,,like when he’s in he’s All In and now david is the subject of that exuberance and that’s so so lovely. the caption isn’t visible but OH MY GOD THE CAPTION.......matteo is david’s hoooooome being in matteo’s arms is being at home oh my gOD i’m so happy for him. he’s just going to be. wildly messily whole-heartedly loved by this stupid boy and he’s going to be so damn happy. i went through “stray italian greyhound” to “can i have this dance” to “new kid” over the course of writing this post and it’s 1 am so u can tell i’m fucking GOING THROUGH IIIIIIIIT

ugh au where matteo gets blackmailed by amira into auditioning for the school play and gets cast as juliet opposite drama department Star david schreibner as romeo. matteo, who is closeted, is terrified of having been cast in the girl’s part and having to play a gay romance AND he already thought david was cute from all the plays he’s seen him in before,,,,thru angst and stage kisses and real kisses everything works out and by the time it’s the cast party matteo and david spend the whole night curled up on the sofa making out

when matteo thought david had a girlfriend and david said “that’s my sister...” in the gentlest voice and matteo cried from relief and david leaned in to kiss him? THAT was romance. like literally i’m so glad they didn’t go the german sonja route because matteo really couldn’t have handled it lol
