As many of you already know, Solas Appreciation Week won the race in the interest check poll we created a while back. You voted, and now we are creating the event you chose.
Must we add that we're very excited that so many of you want to show your love for Solas himself, regardless of ship? Because yes, we really are! The egg deserves a week to himself alone!
As you probably already noticed, we love a nice group project, so in that spirit, we're offering you the opportunity to choose the event prompts as well with a very simple survey.

It's Valentine's Day, and I love a horrible bit. Send me an ask and tell me about your Rook and in exchange I will answer said ask with a silly Valentine.

Even though we are still in the full heat of summer, the cold months are fast approaching! What better way to prepare for their inevitable arrival, than by planning how we’ll be indulging into the darkest desires of our hearts?
Celebrate the month of October with 31 days of Solas x Rook inspired fiction, art, and any creative medium your heart desires, following the Dreadtober 2025 Prompt Lists.
Choose between the regular and NSFW editions—or mix and match! Whether you're going for haunted longing or Blight-fueled filth, this is your chance to dive into angst, and horror with our beloveds.
The Rules:
1. This is an event meant to celebrate the Rook and Solas ship and the community behind it. Even though the main focus of the event are Rook and Solas, other Dreadrook adjacent ships like Solrooklassan, Solrookvellan, etc. are allowed. Show us your polycules! Other ships may be mentioned, but in respect of the spirit of the event, do not forget that Rook and Solas must be central to your work.
2. Pick your prompt(s)! There are two prompts, general or NSFW for each day of the month. You may select or combine if you so desire.
3. All works should be new or posted for the first time after the event begins.
4. We do not condone use of generative AI in any way, shape or form. We want to see your creativity!
5. Make a Dreadrook inspired creation based on your choice(s). All mediums - art, fic, vids, gifs, game photography, mood boards, collages, edits - are welcome. Create what you love to create! You may submit multiple works (ex: one for each day) or combine them as you see fit. In case of combining prompts from different days, pick one prompt day to post your work!
6. Post your creation on the corresponding day and use the following tags: #Dreadtober2025 & #TheLighthouseServer, and @thelighthouse-server in your creation!
7. All fanfiction should be added to event collection on AO3, which will be open for submissions starting on October 1 st.
8. You do not need to participate on each day. This is for fun, igniting creativity, and community. Post what you want, what you can and when you can. Late submissions will still be accepted and promoted. Enjoy yourselves and support others!

Welcome, travelers, to the 2025 Lyrium Dagger Exchange!
This is an all-inclusive exchange for Dreadrook creators, artists and writers alike, to give and receive gifts to one another, and the community. As announced last week, we are opening the event today, the 4th of August!

You may also join the Lighthouse Discord server, which is a Dreadrook server (though multishipper-friendly), and receive real-time updates, support, and find rapport with other participants and Dreadrook lovers. It is only a suggestion, not a requirement for participation.

The server just got a bit excited and yappy recently (as if that wasn't our regular state already), over the fact that two types of events are sorely missing from the solasmancing landscape - a nice and wholesome Solas appreciation week and a Solas rare pair week (no Dreadrook, though in this case because we are not that rare anymore).
As it always is with us, we throw the bait and we also take the bait, so we thought, why don't we do one of these events ourselves...or both?
And so here we are with the question...
Which of these two Solas-themed events would you rather participate in?
Last year we started our "sequence of events" with Dreadrook Week. It was the first public event we ever did and it was rather impromptu. It was wonderful and we had the time of our lives, but we promised ourselves next time we will prepare everything earlier and will involve our lovely followers more.
Well, that time has come and we are preparing Dreadrook Week 2026 and asking you, wonderful Dreadrook appreciators, for input on prompts. We want to know what your muses desire above all else.
