November-December 2014 Timeskip Focus: January-February 2015 [RP Timeline] Real-Life Roleplay Duration:
Began: Mid-February 2016
Present story arch: Darkness Falls, Light Calls: Part One
Estimated Completion: Mid-Late 2016 (subject to change)
In the aftermath of Dalcrest’s bloody Halloween events, the university was shut down for the remainder of the semester, students allowed to complete the remainder of their courses via internet lectures/online courses and with the expection that students would return in the new year to continue their education. This was to ensure students and citizens of the town took the time needed to move past those tragic events. Highlights: The restored Moroi Stefan was relocated to Italy, while others such as Meredith Sulez and her brother Cristian chose not to return instead remaining in Fells Church to focus on family. Sydney Sage was temporarily reassigned for a mission and would be back at Dalcrest upon its completion, while the Dragomir Princess, Jill, was relocated for her safety. (Some threads may still remain in play from the Halloween arch as not everyone finished them.) Meanwhile, various students and citizens began to move on, celebrating holidays with their families and preparing themselves to return to a normal school environment.
Picking up in the New Year, our story begins with an influx of students returning to Dalcrest in early-January following the holidays. On the surface, all seems well as students move on from past events and look forward to a new and fresh school year. However, as often is the case, danger lurks in the shadows. As classes and town-life resume, various people begin to sport new tattoos which appear to give them supernatural powers while the Vitale Society, led by Mithian Pope, faces it’s own possible demise when their members begin to turn up missing and later dead. Meanwhile, tensions build further between Founding Families, the werewolf Borgias and shapeshifter Emersons and the gossip mill of Dalcrest’s social scene explodes. With the Elder’s Council calling more regular meetings to address the terrible events of the last few months and strange occurrences casting shadows upon the town’s annual winter festivities, what will happen next is anyone’s guess.

Forecast:
Temperatures ranging between 0-40 (Fahrenheit). High probability of cloud cover at various times. Some flurries and freezing rain will also appear, as well as some days of sun which may bring the temperature temporarily higher.
An extreme snow storm will /suddenly/ hit Dalcrest in Mid-January resulting in the closure of most roads and the canceling of classes for two days, leaving many stuck where ever they were previously located.
A second snow storm, though milder, will hit in late February, though classes will remain in session.
Students and citizens are advised to be careful of ice and to be cautious when using fire/heat magic in public regardless to conditions.
Main Town Events:
WINTER FEST is an unofficial festival which encompasses the town during the winter season. Some cafe’s have ‘Free Hot Cocoa Tuesdays’ while others provide various offers and deals. In December, pictures with Santa, train rides, and various other things are offered while attention shifts to Dalcrest’s Annual Snow Queen and Court Pageant in January and February. The pageant is open to all students and residents of Dalcrest and embodies a combination of academic and moral tests, formal dances, volunteer activities, and more all leading to the final interview after which the Snow Queen and Court will be awarded on February 20th.
Valentine's Day Dance the Knights Inn & Resort is an annual event held at the famous resort within in a serious of it’s great halls. It’s open to all citizens, students, and guests though depending on which room event one gets tickets for (all include a formal dinner) prices range from $50-$300 a piece and half the benefits go toward local charities.
Destiny & Doom: A Play Preformed by Dalcrest Academy’s Theater Department was a medieval era play originally scheduled for the fall semester but was moved to the following. It’s scheduled to be performed for the public in a series of six shows in the last week and a half of January. Its stars include but are not limited to: Elena Gilbert and Adrian Ivashkov.
Details of interactions, drabbles, and more will be updated as the storyline progresses and organized by month. Weekly drabbles/posts will be posted from the main blog as small plot devices/prompts to keep the storyline moving and can be referred to throughout roleplay during this arc. (An example may be a drabble that presents the death of a character during the second week of January or certain events within the town that might be widely known of or rumored.) This arc does span a two month period and we ask that interactions remain within this period of time.
A few upcoming mini-events/prompts, for those interested please message the main blog or submit a drabble, etc:
Gotham City Trip: As Zharkov Industries becomes Zharkov International a large party will be held in Gotham City of which Mithian Pope will be in attendance. She will be inviting certain members of the Vitale Society and possibly others. If a character wishes to attend it can be plotted. This will be a ‘weekend trip’ in mid-January, involve riding a private jet, and staying at a five-star hotel (all expenses paid). Known going thus far: Mithian Pope, Bruce Wayne, Elena Gilbert.
Snowed In: Open to all members, when the snow storm hits where is your character? Are they alone? Are they with someone else? How long are they trapped? Is it just a boring day in the dorms or are they out and stuck with their worst enemy?
Would you like to build a snowman?: Open to everyone. If you like, have your character or a group of characters build a snowman? Did they build the best one? Is it lop-sided? Does its head fall off? Did they build it right before a sunny day and it melt?
Party Party!: At a university like Dalcrest Academy (or in the town in general-- those high school kids like to party too), there’s always some type of hot party to attend if one knows where to look. Have your character or a group of characters go to a party and see what happens! Do they meet another character for the first time? Is it the start of a friendship? The beginning of a new tension?
