"That's a good thing, though. ...isn't it?" Between her sister's tone of voice and the current expression on her face, Sadie couldn't be sure. "I mean, you've been wanting to take on more responsibility for awhile now. This should be the perfect opportunity. Please don't tell me that you're second guessing yourself now that what you want is finally within reach."

It wasn’t a big deal. Or so her father kept assuring her on the ride to the hospital. There had just been a small mishap at the show – a trap door had released early and Rachel had gone through it, landing on the mats below. Now, normally, that wouldn’t be a problem. Rachel went through that same trap door eight times a week. But since she wasn’t prepared, she had landed funny and hurt her leg. Enough so that she couldn’t put pressure on it. So…they took her to ER to figure it all out. But Jesse was still confident it was nothing.
Entering Angel of Mercy – the hospital closest to the theatre district – Eliza followed her father through the crowd of waiting patients to the ER and the little cubicle they had her mother in. Rushing to her mother’s side, Eliza offered a gentle hug before stepping back to sign her greeting (and concern).
Are you okay? What did the doctor say?
it was safe to say the brunette definitely wasn’t expecting to fall through the trap door, especially at a time when she was supposed to be singing but the trip to the emergency room sure was...interesting. what normal person, goes to the hospital, dressed all in black painted green? she certainly wasn’t normal and had a lot of stares, but hey, it happened. the worst part was they were almost needing to cut her out of her dress, thankfully, they just had to cut off her stockings and replace her dress with a hospital gown, and, they had even degreenified the brunette, just leaving her with green around hairline but it was totally fine and not the first time.
letting out a sigh, rachel leaned back against the pillow as she looked out the window. she knew her husband and daughter were on their way, thankfully it’d be soon so she could have someone to at least talk to, other than strangers and doctors coming in and wanting an autograph. looking up as someone entered, rachel smiled at her family, thanking her lucky stars they were there “hi honey.” rachel smiled as she squeezed jesse’s hand as her husband lifted her hand up to her mouth to kiss it. smiling, rachel loved the hug eliza gave her and watched on as she pulled away. at the question, rachel scrunched up her nose in response before continuing.
I’ll be okay in time baby...mama has just broken her ankle so I’m out of the show and what not for a few weeks.
