Hi, Bird. I am right that Redtail and Brindleface aren’t mates, just friends. If so what about mate for her, someone from other Clans (may be from Shadow, Stumpytail) or from Thunder?

The current idea is Darkstripe, actually! He was actually a bit of a den dad initially, and cares a great deal for Ash and Fern, but in the end, he chose Tigerstar over his family. He did love Brindleface, and I'm considering a very small side comic focusing on how he dealt with the whole situation. I'm very nervous about my ideas right now, but I'm really looking forward to his character arc in the second half of SC. He will be getting a lot more screen time.

I do have to revisit this family's design, as they look too similar right now due to having similar splotchy patterns. ^^;

Oy, Ashfur, Hawkfrost, Darktail and Clear Sky as possessor of Bramblestar. By the way, Clear Sky why, or where from you hear about theory that CS can be a possessor. Thanks.

Idk mate, I feel like so far the Impostor kinda reminded me of him. I also really like the idea it’s several cats at once, which could explain the erratic behaviour, I guess. The end of the book kinda mess this up, since Squirrel recognized him (well, at least one cat that’s inside him), but we’ll see I guess ^^

Hi Birdsong, thanks for comics. Why where are so many pairs between cats from different clans. You like it a lot, yes.

Mostly because I just find it fun, haha. I didn't really set out to make all my ships half Clan, but here we are! Honestly, confession time: I really do love forbidden romance. It was really part of the appeal of Warriors to me. In my rewrite, the rules are a little less extreme, so when cats find out about these things, they usually aren't going to be punished very harshly. They'll still get mad, as Redtail demonstrated with Willowpelt, but they usually won't make a huge deal out of it.

Plus, it tends to give more genetic diversity, which is not only a meta thing but also an in character thing. Cats of all Clans know its really for the best that they have some cross Clan relationships so as to avoid a lot of inbreeding.

Tigerstar is a bit odd for prosecuting cats about this, and a few other conservative cats are sticklers for the rules, but that's the exception rather than the norm. Cats were more aggressive about it in generations past however, as demonstrated with how Mapleshade was treated.

Thanks for answering. Interesting to see someone from foreign fandom who think about Clear Sky as possible possessor. He is one of quite popular candidates in Russian fandom, that’s why I interested. Thanks.

Oh really? I only have heard like, a couple of other people mention him (and, again, they weren’t 100% sure it would be him, just that it would be nice), but I’m not super aware of what’s popular in the fandom ^^. I have to say, whoever it ends up being, I really like that it’s making so many readers guessing, it’s nice for those books to still be able to surprise us after all this time :)
