A list of books I have read this year. Will reblog everytime I update as I read more. Doing this a a bit of fun and to hopefully motive myself to read a bit more like I used to.
(I would like to state that I do not share/approve of the views or opinions of a certain author on this list. I just enjoy the books and won't let some poor excuse of a human being ruin them for me.)

Fourth of June cover concepts
A is for Apples. Bear in mind that the first bite of the apple is always the best. After that the law of diminishing returns sets in. Also Amnesty, a splendid organization which used to have a branch at Putney high and ought to again. B is for Boys. They are far more innocent than girls. It’s well worth remembering that in your encounters they are probably a good deal more nervous than you are. Also Babies. It’s vital to ensure you don’t have babies unless you want them. Also books, and the importance of finding books yourself at charity shops and jumble sales rather than reading the books on your set text lists. Discovering a masterpiece that nobody else will have read is a great pleasure. C is for Charity Shops. I buy all of my clothes at charity shops. It gives you a much greater opportunity to express yourself than going like everyone else to Top Shop or Manson. Some charity shops- notably those in the King’s Road – even have designer rails. D is for Dreams. A very useful resource for those of you who want to be writers. In order to remember your dreams keep a pen and pad by the bed. D also stands for dodgem cars. If the boyfriend automatically climbs into the driver’s seat he may not be the one for you. E is for Eggs. My advice when you are boiling an egg is to boil two. When you take the top off the first one you will find out weather it’s too runny, in which case you can put the second one back in the pan. E is also for Eyes. When out with your boyfriend, ask him at some point in the evening to close his eyes. Then ask what color your eyes are. If he peeps or if he gets it wrong, you should dump him at once. Also ask him what clothes you are wearing. F is for fashion and the importance of creating your own. See C. G is for Giraffes, my favorite animals and much undervalued in our society. H is for Home. It is hugely important that, when you shut the door of your room behind you, you should feel a great sense of security and relief at being home. I is for Idleness which is much to be encouraged. Everyone spends far too long doing far too much especially at school. J is for Jogging, a totally pointless activity, quite apart from the unfortunate after-effects, such as muscular spasms and nipple rash. K is for Kissing and a recommendation that you keep your eyes open during this activity. L is for Loganberries. Strawberries and raspberries are all very well and help to get us through the summer but the connoisseur will wait for the loganberry which is far more of a challenge. Blackberries are fun too, since until you bite into one you have no idea weather it is sweet or sour. M is for Mashed Potatoes and my son. Leo’s recommendation that you should add a spoonful of creamed horseradish sauce to stop it being too bland. N is for Neighbors and for the pleasure of watching them through windows. But it is rather selfish if you want to watch them to deny them the pleasure of watching you buy drawing your curtains. O is for Outofdoors which is over-rated. It is also for the things which look like an O like Oval and an orange. Unlike the apple the orange is a beastly nuisance. By the time you get the skin off you’ve sort of lost interest. O also stands for Putney High’s favorite phrase: “Oh My God!” P is for Parents and the importance of remembering that they are probably floundering just as much as your teachers are, notably at parents’ evenings. And bear in mind that they were adolescents once too. Q is for Questions and the importance of asking your teachers questions at every opportunity. R is for Royalty. I may not be an enthusiastic monarchist but there is no argument that says that a President may necessarily be any better. If you don’t elect your monarch then at least you don’t have to blame yourself when the system fails to produce the goods. S is for Sex which tends to be over-rated, so when the time comes don’t be too disappointed if it seems a little dull. S is also for shortbread, also over-rated. T is for Teachers (See P for Parents above) U is for Umbrellas. It doesn’t rain nearly as much as people think it does, and getting wet is not unpleasent and you will get dry again soon enough. Umbrellas get lost, and turn inside out, and the point gets stuck in the paving stones, so they are not worth the trouble. V is for Voting. When you consider what people in some countries are prepares to suffer to get the vote, the least we can do is use ours. It is also for Valentines and my recommendation would be that you send your Significant other two Valentine cards and see if he mentions both. W is for Waxing. It is really not worth waxing your legs. Hair can be beautiful. X is for Kissing. See K. Y is for being Young which has a lot to be said for it although you might not think so at the time. Z is for Zizzing. A short nap from time to time throughout the day is entirely pleasant and to be encouraged in class. Z is also for zig-zag. Remember if you are being shot at to run away in zig-zags and not in a straight line because you will then be a harder target to hit. This advice may never be relevant but it just could save your life.
