The Undead Road by David Powers King
“The Undead Road – My Zombie Summer Part One” by David Powers King.I’m not really a huge horror fan. I’m especially not a huge zombie fan. Films, books, television series, and games that feature them have never been my favorites, and I generally avoid them. That...

Schedule, links, details, and contest for THE UNDEAD ROAD Book Tour
Hey, everyone! There's a blog tour starting today for The Undead Road by David Powers King (co-author of Woven) and I want to make sure you all know about it because it looks killer. This first book in a new YA zombie series is already getting rave reviews on Amazon. Readers are saying "His take on the rise of zombies is one of the most convincing I've ever heard of, and his characters are engaging and believable." -Haley H. D.R. Weaver says "If you like zombies, be sure to check this out!" and Jbentley7 says you have to read it "...even if you don't like zombies!" and everyone says it's hilarious. Seriously. Just go look at the reviews. Best part is, The Undead Road is independently published, so not only do you get what sounds like an awesome book, you get to put on your indie hipster hat and support a struggling, starving artist at the same time! Win/win, dudes. The links are all down below, but if you didn't notice, the ebook is on sale for .99 this week only and FREE on KindleUnlimited.

"This is an amazing book [Woven]! It is definitely worth reading if you’re into fantasy, and I’d even recommend it if fantasy isn’t what you usually read. This book is about a teenage boy named Nels. He wanted to become a knight of the kingdom of Avërand. He was known throughout the small village he lived in as the Knight of Cobblestown, because he helped people in need. However, that was before Nels was killed. Everyone believed he was killed by a tree falling onto him during a storm, but it was actually due to being murdered by a shady figure outside his home. Soon after he was murdered, Nels came back- however, now he was a ghost. He was invisible to every living person, except for one. That one person was Tyra, the princess of Avërand. Even though she at first regarded Nels as a nuisance, she soon learned that they were bound together by a magical force, and they had a common enemy- an enemy that could morph into anyone. They had to escape the kingdom to find a needle, but not any ordinary needle. This was an ancient needle that had the ability to repair and distort reality. if they didn’t find that needle within two weeks, Nels would become unwoven- meaning he would disappear forever.
This is one of those few books that are so unique and interesting that you don’t have any idea what’s going to happen next. In many books, the plot is fairly to almost completely predictable, but this book has such a unique plot that when I read it, I didn’t know what to expect. This kept me involved in reading Woven the whole time, from the first sentence to the last few words. Overall, this book is awesome! I’ll rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

Two unlikely allies must journey across a kingdom in the hopes of thwarting death itself. All his life, Nels has wanted to be a knight of the kingdom of Avdrand. Tall and strong, and with a knack for helping those in need, the people of his sleepy little village have even taken to calling him the Knight of Cobblestown. But that was before Nels died, murdered outside his home by a mysterious figure. Now the young hero has awoken as a ghost, invisible to all around him save one person--his only hope for understanding what happened to him--the kingdom's heir, Princess Tyra. At first the spoiled royal wants nothing to do with Nels, but as the mystery of his death unravels, the two find themselves linked by a secret, and an enemy who could be hiding behind any face. Nels and Tyra have no choice but to abscond from the castle, charting a hidden world of tangled magic and forlorn phantoms. They must seek out an ancient needle with the power to mend what has been torn, and they have to move fast. Because soon Nels will disappear forever.

“A boy on a quest against the power of the storm”
Eleven-year-old Danny’s parents are storm chasers – which sounds fun and exciting, and it is, so long as you aren’t the son who has to wait behind at home. And one night, after a particularly fierce storm, Danny’s parents don’t come back. Stranger still, the old sycamore tree in Danny’s yard seems to have been struck by lightning, and when he…
