Estudia las frases que parecen ciertas y ponlas en duda.

Paradoxically, though, the film was almost as successful with the audiences it insulted as I'm All Right Jack, and the reasons why shed another light on its meanings. First, of course, there is the moral masochism mentioned earlier, 'As we all know,' remarks David Riesman in The Lonely Crowd, 'the businessmen and advertisers themselves flock to plays and movies that tell them what miserable sinners they are.' The workers aren't so thick that they can't enjoy the same self-inculpation. Second, the screen workers' yobbery and slobbery distances them from the workers in the cinema stalls, for whom these characters become, very clearly, 'them', not 'me'. The attitudes are familiar, the events outrageous - thus a kind of emotive release is accompanied by an indirect, nuanced self-criticism. (Hence the 'melodramatic insult' may confuse and depress less than a too-kind criticism of likeable behaviour, a la Chance of a Lifetime.)

Ngược lại, con người dường như ngày càng chìm sâu vào thế giới nội tâm, trở nên xa lạ với đồng loại của mình. Hơn 60 năm qua, tác phẩm này chưa hề mất đi khả năng bao…
