37. If I could have a do over on one thing, would I do it?
It might depend on the thing. Like, I think I might’ve made a mistake when I majored in English, tbh. People told me I’d fall flat on my face when I graduated with an English degree, and I was like NO I WILL NOT! I CAN DO THI--(falls flat on my face) ...... But I don’t think I’d change it if I could. That’s messing with timeline shit and who knows what would be different/triggered by that change? Like, so many people I might not meet or know now, and I’m not willing to risk that. I read “The Butterfly Effect” by Ray Bradbury in school as a kid, and ever since then, I’ve been like “DON’T MESS WITH THE PAST, BITCHES!!!”
43. What have I learned about myself this year that I didn’t know about myself in years prior? I’ve always been pretty chill and non-confrontation and anti-conflict about things, sometimes to the point where I let people stomp all over me. WEEELLLLLLLLLLLL, as it turns out I’m capable of raging fire anger passion, talking back to elders, standing up for myself and other people, and looking a certain family member right in his face when he makes yet another joke about Asian people all looking the same and saying, “That’s funny because I always thought mediocre white men were pretty much identical” ...maybe started a bit of a thing but it’s 2017 and THIS IS WHAT I’M CAPABLE OF NOW.
