I was wondering what do you think the best house system for compatibility charts is? I mean synastry, composite and davison altogether
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ Hello!
All three are valuable in their own way. I'm not really used to using the Davidson chart (I've only used it a couple of times before) but it can be interesting to look at.
As for synastry & composite:
Synastry is the base level compatibility towards each partner. Think if it as literally looking at two individuals & their separate lives & understandings, trying to look and interact with each other.
Composite is how both individuals act as a team. It's your middle ground & how both of you tolerate & coexist with each other. Can often describe your combined minds & routine. What works for both of you simultaneously.
Anyone here done any work with composite charts/davidson chart? I'm looking for examples (personal or from someone you know or from celebrity couples) where there are Moon-Pluto aspects (preferably conjunctions or oppositions) in composite or davidsons
Hey, i've been fine! Its a me, Jess! Not anon anymore. I still have to read jimin's analisys because its huuuge haha. I see you have an enourmous list so take ur time. Question: whats the best, synastry, composite or Davidson chart?
Hey Jess! 💕💕💕 So good to hear from you! 💕I hope you enjoy it let me know what you think when you’re done sdkjfnsdkjn 💕💕
Relationship charts are so interesting to talk about, especially since there’s a lot of different options/varieties you can choose to learn/do in order to find what works best for you!
Personally, I like Synastry for the tea it brings. Honestly there’s a lot of limitations with Synastry in terms of accuracy, but having more things to work from/be cautious of is better than stewing in a bad situation alone. Again, it’s for guidance– like a best friend who’s going to tell you how it is rather than someone involved in the relationship themselves (thus, limitations).
They might not know everything about the relationship but atleast they’re there to chat your ears off about what their opinions are about it. That’s why there’s discretion to be used when consulting Synastry sometimes.
Composite charts are my second go-to when I’m done with all the tea and just wants like, a semi-neutral perspective on the relationship. It’s a milder version of Synastry. Composite chart uses the midpoints between your charts (points), so trying to find the means/median between both of your combined energy (your Sun- their Sun, your Moon-their Moon, aspects/placements/angles, etc).
In terms of accuracy, they’re more of a balanced outlook. Think of the composite as like, someone in your social circle who isn’t as close to you. Their opinions are formed based on what they see about you two together as a couple (when you’re together, but when you’re apart it isn’t applicable because it’s based on midpoints) what your dynamic is like and maybe some trip-ups/hardship you choose to share with them.
Some of the more personal stuff isn’t as noticeable, but if anything happens between you two– they’re the one who’s going to point it out. They’re more like ‘hey i’m not involved but is that a good thing?? I don’t think it’s fair’ –an outsider’s perspective, from someone who’s not like– aggressively talking in your ears about what you should do/your best friend.
Davidson chart is like counseling a licensed relationship counsellor. Who’s going to ask you exactly when your relationship starts and how it’s formed (grilling you these questions). It’s way more structured clinically than the other two, because it takes into account time/space and makes a whole separate chart (with a different birthday/location) from midpoints between the two of you (like a natal chart, instead of a relationship chart). That’s why it’s said to calculate relationship dynamics, because it’s like the birth child of you two together (not literally, your child/familial astrology has nothing to do with this).
In a sense, you can think of Davidson chart as a mix between synastry and composite. But as an individual chart itself, it’s like an advance option to composite’s use of mid-points (but this time with longitude/latitude involved, and the composite’s midpoint expanded on)
Davidson chart can be harder to read when we look at it for the first time, because the format is different and we can get easily overwhelm. Try to read it like a natal chart, but instead of thinking of it as two separate entities think of this as areas of life where two people meet/their chemistry is formed. Read the Sun, Moon, Asc. Read their House/areas in life they have the most occupancy in. Read their exact aspects. Gaining some practice and understanding of the chart will help with interpreting relationship dynamics and the flow of said relationships. It might help!
Personally, I cycle through all of them from Synastry -> Composite -> Davidson, depending on how much help I need at the time. For other people’s reading I typically look at Synastry + Composite if they don’t need like, serious help (with idols and stuff/crushes). Because Davidson talks more about the formation of relationships, I personally find that relationships that aren’t formed (crushes) yet or a ‘prediction’ of the future can be less accurate. At least that’s how it is for me.
I hope this helps!! 💕 Thanks again for asking Jess!! 💕💕💕
