Dawn Bringer Crew - Kressara

Second in our wacky crew is Kressara, our Sailing Master (for those who don’t do boats, that means she’s in charge of the sails, essentially). She’s an air genasi barbarian, an orphan, and a hardcore badass! Her weapon of choice is usually a broadsword of some kind, but she’s extremely dangerous with anything in her hands. She has a bit of a temper when she’s in the thick of battle, but otherwise is cool, calm, and collected. She’s loyal to a fault, protective, and is always happy to join in on fun when certain other crew members start it (we’ll get to that later).

This face right here is her I’m-going-to-enjoy-smashing-you-into-a-thousand-pieces face.

That’s about all I know of her. She worked on the docks until something better came along, and now she’s with us. If I know more, you’ll know more.

Dawn Bringer Crew - Harley Hartford

As promised, time for DnD campaign numero dos: Adventures of the Dawn Bringer. Our crew of crazies started on another ship under a wonderful captain named Araveen Moonlight, but after helping her find her father (who’d been missing and presumed dead for a decade) they were gifted a ship of their own, The Dawn Bringer!

This guy here is our First Mate, Harley. He’s a human warlock, which you know means he made a deal with some shady creature from the deep, but he doesn’t exactly know who or how it works. He’s from a wealthy family, but rarely gets home because he’s not on super cool terms with them (no idea the details, hasn’t come up yet). He had been travelling home on another ship a while back, and when that ship was destroyed in a storm, he drowned. He miraculously woke on Moonlight’s ship with no recollection of how he got there or how he was still alive, and—oh yeah! He also suddenly had these fancy-smancy magic powers that came out of nowhere, with a special connection to some sort of tentacled monster that talks in his head from time to time.

Uh huh. Not ominous at all.

He also was “gifted” this little squid friend named Killi, again, with no recollection as to how that happened.

We’re still waiting for that other shoe to drop.
