This week’s tea bowls are the best I have made in months. No struggle at all. It’s like the clay wants to be a tea bowl. As an artist I long for days where the creativity just flows like this. Without it, I get twitchy, and way to aggressive at the office. (I’m an attorney by day, but that doesn’t mean I have to be “That Attorney.”) I did not have deep creative days during the pandemic. I enjoyed making pottery, but it never flowed. I think the background stress was greater than I realized. And the fact that I am realizing it now means it might finally be going away. .
