probably riddled with factual errorzorz
i want to figure out your body like a mathematical proof. parse down your intricately entwined identities until you are nothing but axioms and postulates, the barest, sparsest, universal truths. that is all i need to know that you are real and that all your points somehow make lines that transverse into planes stacking into polygons that finally comprise the infinite polyhedrons locking together to keep you solid and safe in my arms. if my love for you seems a fatuous conceit, conjecture flung so far off-base, then i will prove it to you as rigorously as i can, as vigorously as i can until doubt is the only incongruence you can find in this grand equation of you and i. until you accept this as your truth: that this one theorem cannot be disproved.
Day 12: Knowledge
"Look, buddy, we're closing," Elle began, approaching a strange man wearing a top hat and monocle. He'd been stopping in every day for the last two weeks, coming in late and staying just before closing. He never ordered anything. At the sound of her voice, the strange man looked up.
"Oh, good! And it's about time, too!" He sprung up out of his chair. "Now then, let's take care of this ghost, shall we?" The man, speaking in an English accent, turned his goofy grin to Elle. She stared at him like he was crazy.
"Are you stoned or something? Ghost?" She was incredulous. I mean, if he was tripping on something, maybe that explained why he never ordered anything.
"What? No, I'm in my right mind...Anyway, yes, ghost. You can't honestly tell me you haven't noticed." Elle hesitated because she had seen some weird stuff lately. There were the chairs she knew she put up on the tables ending up back on the floor, the mysterious moving glasses, and the creaking of the floorboards upstairs.
"Well...okay, I'm not saying I believe you, but what the hell would you know about it?" The strange man looked oddly offended.
"Well, everything, of course," he stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Elle just stared at him. He shrugged and started walking toward the staircase leading to the abandoned apartment upstairs. "Ghosts are easy, don't worry. This one isn't malicious, just a little bit of a troublemaker. Probably the ghost of a young'n, I hate to say. But, it won't be a problem at all. Just a quick wave of the wand and he'll be out of your hair."
Only following him because she didn't trust him in this place alone, Elle said, "How do you even know that? Not like I believe you, but you're talking crazy." The man glanced back at her, pulling a small stick out of his jacket pocket.
"I have this knowledge because I am a Sorcerer. Obviously," he told her. Pointing the stick at the door, he said, "Marcus Sebastian of the Merlin bloodline," he waved the stick across the door and is unlocked audibly. "A pleasure to meet you, Elle Chastel," he smiled and pushed open the door.

30 Day Drabble Challenge Day 12: Knowledge
Fandom: Sly Cooper
Pairing: Bentley/Penelope
Canagan raised a silver brow. "Didn't you just get back from the grocery?"
Her tenant didn't bother to answer the question. Lily simply finished writing her note and then stalked out of the kitchen, a mewling Dorian wandering in her wake. "Go away," she muttered at the feline. "I know, I know. I forgot the tuna."
The cat--perhaps content that his reprisal had been taken in earnest--padded off towards the living room. Lily opened the front door. Before she could set foot on the porch her forehead connected solidly with Sal's chest.
"Don't you ever watch where you're going?" he asked.
Since it sounded like an actual question rather than rhetorical, Lily found herself abandoning flustered in favor of irate. "Don't you ever get tired of creeping up on people?"
The taxi driver glanced around. "This is your front door. Does that really qualify as creeping?"
She forced a noncommittal noise through her gritted teeth and attempted to move around him. "I have to go to the store."
Sal stepped back. "I'll go for you, if you like."
She stopped to stare at him, eyes narrowed. "Why would you do that?"
"Well I thought about offering to go with you," he said with a sheepish smile and trademark shrug. "Didn't think you'd take me up on it."
"You were right," Lily said, though she immediately regretted it. She shifted her cloth bags from one arm to the next. From out the parlor window came the sound of scripted laughing and a credits sequence. "I guess you could come along."
His grin both cheered and infuriated her by turn. Sal skirted around her and pulled open the front door of the cab, snagging her bags along the way. "Excellent. Can we get ice cream?"
"Toddler," Lily muttered. She slid a sidelong look in his direction. "Why are you even here?"
He turned the engine over and ran two fingers across the decal of a water droplet. It's edges curled faintly against the glass. "Is there a reason not to be? Finished up a fare over in Calumet City and decided to stop by."
"Is there another..." Lily stammered over the word, her gaze fixing firmly on the line of the dashboard. "...another chef over there?"
He chuckled. "Jealous?" Sal asked, sliding across two lanes of traffic without appearing to check his mirrors or his speed. He slid his hand into hers, no doubt worried about the clench marks she was leaving in the leather. "You're the only...chef for me."
She couldn't decide whether it was comforting or horrifying to know that every soul he happened across would be showing up at her door. Lily tugged her hand loose and smoothed out an imagined wrinkle in her skirt. "You're going to kill us," she grumbled.
He beat another car to a parking spot by millimeters. "Wouldn't that be ironic?" he said, smiling cheerfully at the other driver.
Drabble A Day Challenge 12: Knowledge
There were three things in life that Blaine Anderson knew to be absolutely, unequivocally, 100% definitely true.
The first: that he was entirely, irrevocably in love with Kurt Hummel. It was the truth, and he couldn’t ignore it.
The second: It was Saturday.
Third: This was definitely, the best way to wake up ever. There was absolutely nothing better than waking up to the sun streaming through the windows, keeping him warm. The cat sleeping at his feet, and the smell of blueberry pancakes coming from the kitchen.
The only thing that could possibly make this even better would be if Kurt was in bed with him, instead of making the pancakes in the kitchen. At this thought, Blaine’s stomach gave a large growl. Okay, so he was maybe a little bit hungry, and a lot bit excited about the pancakes…
“Morning, sleepy head!”
“Mmmm morning, Kurt” Blaine said, stretching a little bit to wake up his arms and legs. He flopped back onto the bed with a thump. “Come back to bed.”
“I’m already up.”
“It’s Saturday. Come back to meeeeee.”
“Your pancakes will get cold.”
“That is something I am willing to sacrifice for cuddles. Come on.”
“Okayyyy, but you’d better make it worth my while.” Kurt said with a wink moving back over to the bed, and slipping in under the covers.
Blaine immediately grabbed him, and held him close.
“Isn’t this better than pancakes?”
“Always.”
