Some infodump about my snel + lore and plans

I had 10 snails... technically

I got 5 {baby, ozzy, shelly, sprout and bean} as a gift from an internship and later bought 2 but they didn't make it through the transit then bought from a different seller 2 and got one for free {kit, kat and coco}

When i got my first 5 snails i was told to do research on them {what they eat how big do they get, the fact that they're invasive etcetc} and buy an enclosure and so I did

Then i upgraded the enclosure to a bigger one and a bigger one when they grew

I made a feeding schedule to give them a variety of food they can have + when they have protein or calcium

Then by the beginning of the year the original 5 snails died one after another from genetic issues possibly from inbreeding and I joined a few care groups

Then i started upgrading the enclosure pretty much made by me {from a clear container box with holes made with a hot screwdriver to provide enough airflow}, asked for advice and bought more substrate, cuttlebone, isopods and moss + heating pad and isolation to put under the enclosure

And now when it comes to enclosures i have the current one, 3 + an extra tiny box for baby snel {because the 2 that didn't make it were tiny asf}

Aaaaand now I have 3 snails + I'm going to a different town next week so i contacted local offers to pick the snel irl because it's rare to find anyone who's sending them via a carrier

3 baby gals, 2 that are being rehomed and one that turned out to not be a giant african land snail but just an african snail lol i texted many people {3} in case if someone didn't respond

I'll still take that one 'surprise' snail I'll just put it in one of the smaller enclosures that my gals outgrew

About the small 3 I'll keep them away and upgrade the enclosure size with these i already have from the previous snails until they're similar/same size as the snails in the main enclosure

I'm also constantly measuring the temperature and humidity inside :D

And know that adult gals need around 20 liters of space per snail

While traveling to a different town I'll prepare smaller enclosures/travel boxes and secure them in my backpack so nothing happens to the snails

Oh and the names I picked but these aren't 100% decided yet
