after the morning frost...
Sorry for the lack of smiles, I’m actually really friendly!
So I’ve been back and forth with fitness and health for years. Well, this past week I decided to make a commitment. I’m tired of playing hot and cold with my health and happiness. I decided to become a beachbody coach. I’m not really sure where this journey will take me, but I’m a poor college student with nothing to lose and so many goals. I’m so excited to have a support group and a program to follow. Feel free to follow me on my journey, to join me, or to ignore me. Here is my day one.
No Man's Sky and the Importance of Being a First-Wave Gamer
Is @NoMansSky a Day One purchase for you? Here’s why it might be.
Every now and then, a game releases that asks its gamers to do more than simply play it; the game wants you to think a bit. The world is a little more complex than our own, the story isn’t told in a contemporary fashion, or maybe the game’s mechanics are slightly obscured. Such games depend on Day One adopters, First-Wave Gamers as I like to call them, to unveil what lies beneath the surface and…

THIS POST IS SUPER LONG BUT OH WELL
Yesterday was full of so many adventures!! I wanted to vlog, but I ended up not having any time at all. Our universal tickets turned out to be expired, so that's fun. We're gonna try to go Thursday (somehow), but I guess we'll see what happens :') We went to Madame Tussaud's wax museum and it was super awesome - except the entire time I was anticipating The Beatles and apparently they've moved them to a different location temporarily. -.- I still saw Jimmy Fallon though! He looks really fake in the pictures, but he was pretty legit-looking in person. The most creepily accurate was Steve Jobs. My dad felt like the dude was actually looking at him. xD After that adventure, we headed over to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. They seated us DIRECTLY ACROSS from a booth with loads of Bob Dylan stuff on the wall & I was losing my mind over it. I even asked the waitress if it would be alright for us to sit over there after the family that was eating there had left. She wouldn't let us because there were only two of us and the booth seat things are for larger parties - but she said I could go take pictures once they were gone. So that's what I did. I kept looking over at their table like some sort of creep to see if they were still there, and once they were gone I booked it over there with my Polaroid camera and iPhone and sat in awe at the abundance of Bob stuff. They had one of his guitars and it was super tiny. They also had one of his harmonicas, and a gold record version of his album 'Desire', all surrounded by black and white pictures of my favorite solo artist ever. So yeah, I died. After we ate, we took the time to explore all the memorabilia on the walls, which was a slightly awkward experience since we had to look over the heads of all the people eating xD I didn't care though. I don't even understand why you'd eat there unless you're into rock n roll, though, honestly. Like 90% of the people we saw weren't even noticing the amazing stuff around them. We were the only two people I saw actually roaming around and looking at stuff. I guess life is kinda like that sometimes - people just don't realize the freaking sweet things all around them. But oh man, the things they had!! They had Paul McCartney's suit! And Buddy Holly's glasses! And Stevie Nicks' tambourine! And loads of other things that gave me all the feels! (Especially an actual sketch done by Stuart Sutcliffe) (!!!!) Once we were done, we went to a record shop and I promptly spent half of my money. xD Was it the greatest idea to go to the largest Hard Rock Cafe ever and look around before heading to a record store? Probably not, but I don't even care bc I got some flipping sweet stuff. Several 45s, two Bob Dylan CDs, a Bob poster, three records (Wings 'Red Rose Speedway', The Best of Roy Orbison, and the 'Silver Beatles Decca Audition'), and I think that's it. We were super tired at this point (it was like 10:45), but decided to go to Publix anyway because we needed some food. They didn't have the food we wanted, so we tiredly made it over to a Walgreens where they also didn't have it, but they had chocolate kinder sticks so we bought some of those instead. That place was nuts. Orlando is a creepy place sometimes, bro. Very sketchy. O.o It took us much longer to get back to our hotel because our GPS is a total idiot. In fact, we got through two CDs before we finally found it (Dad bought Alanis Morisette unplugged, so we listened to it before jamming out to 'Blood On The Tracks' by Bob Dylan). We talked to Mom and my sisters on the phone and told them all of our adventures, then Dad fell asleep almost immediately. I didn't. I'm a crazy person, so I decided to take a shower at midnight. I just knew I wouldn't want to this morning (and I was right ahaha ain't nobody got time for that) so I zombie-ly did so. The shower straight-up sucks, even worse than Matt the Radar Technician. It has too much and almost no pressure simultaneously, producing enough wind to blow the shower curtain around like mad while also making it near-impossible to rinse any shampoo out of your hair. Fun stuff, again, but hey I'd just had one of the best days ever so I really didn't care. I took so many pictures with my Polaroid! I can't wait to make a scrapbook of all the adventures!! So yeah!! That was the first day of le Orlando Adventure! It took me a while to fall asleep due to a combination of excitement & this repetitive mysterious ticking noise in our hotel room (Snape, Snape, Severus Snape), but after listening to some Bob and checking my Neko Atsume cats a few times, I dozed off pretty easily. Today is the first Disney day and I can't contain myself. I'm going home!!!!!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I'm gonna stop typing this now so I can get out of my PJs and eat some breakfast and go!! xD Cheers!
