Ok, I keep finding people complaining about how Ji-Woon "looks too pretty" or "not creepy/ugly enough" or "doesn't look like a killer", but guys--
GUYS. IT'S EXACTLY THE POINT.
His visual design matches his lore and personality. A distorted, monstrous appearance or even a simple masked face will not suit him. As a k-pop superstar who is not only serial-killing people, but also turning their tormented screams and disfigured corpses into his "art", and dare to give hints of his involvements in those crimes to the public (mixing his victims' screams into his songs, leaving behind his accessories on the crime scenes, etc., basically leaving trails of evidences, intentionally), it's obvious that he thinks very highly of himself. He's the most narcissistic killer we got this far--to the point of not even bothering to split his persona with a mask or a mysterious murder-alias. "The Trickster" is in itself the ego trinity of Ji-Woon Hak, the artist, and the killer.
His utter shamelessness and reckless confidence are probably the reason why the Entity let his original human appearance be, because that's what he's always been, that's how he always works. He knows his beauty tricks people and that's exactly his entire concept. This is deception in its most natural form. A venomous snake and a poisonous frog, pretty looks and saccharine acts--even his weapons are aesthetically crafted. This is a man of grand performance, of fake dreams and mock desires. A modern illusion of idols, an idol of primal delusions. A false god. A character designed to tear apart your trust in humanity and its worships.
And we should fear them, because we can't help but to love them.
Also yes, k-pop bandwagon + neon rebel aesthetic + handsome face + full-on psychopathic charm = bigger market = STONKS.
Well done, BHVR. Completely understandable, have a good day. I'll just go back fangirling over Ji-Woon fanarts.
