• Does not want any of this, but can’t find it in himself to say no — most introverted attention seeker ever
• Fans love him, they want him protected
• Amazing vocals, negative stage presence (100% deer in headlights)
• Has the worst anxiety known to man
• Bi panic realized into human form
• Absolutely drowning in expectations
Rei Ayanami
The Mysterious Doll
• Lead vocalist, main dancer
• Autistic with a very flat affect
• Has albinism — legally blind, wears thick ass glasses, when she knows she won’t be seen, uses a white cane
• Will grab onto Asuka or Shinji when she feels like she needs a sighted guide — The fandom has decided its ship bait
• Often reading philosophy and classic literature, feels “disconnected with humanity”
• Close with Gendo, makes other people wary (they suspect favouritism)
• Impossible to read giving her a reputation of being cold or thinking she’s better than others
• Kaworu is her brother but they hardly know each other
Asuka Langley Soryu
The Red Queen
• Main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocal, visual
• Child star, musical prodigy
• Has been in multinational productions from commercials to theatre
• Trained in everything, has been training since she could walk
• White passing (1/4 japanese, 1/4 german, 1/2 american)
• Fluently trilingual: English, Japanese and German
• Over-prepared always, despises anyone who she perceives as slacking off
• Her mother (Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu) is in a long-term psych facility after a very public breakdown
• Terrified of inheriting her mother’s mental illness, already on mood stabilizers
• Childhood friend to Mari, kinda gay about it
Kaworu Nagisa
Cupid, The Romantic Angel
• Lead dancer, main rapper, sub-vocal
• Albino, nearly legally blind, also wears thick glasses but they’re designer
• Grew up in foster care, was separated from Rei early on
• Gay, but stuck in the industry closet — he likes subtly flagging
• Plays piano, his favourite way to play is with someone else (cough cough, Shinji)
• Seems effortlessly but plays the game like a strategist
• Originally part of the Ang3ls under the name Tabris— joined EVA to tear them apart from the inside, but fell for Shinji immediately

Misato Katsuragi
• Best worst manager ever
• Used to be a top idol
• A bit of an alcoholic, her time in the spotlight wasn’t all it was cut out to be
• Hides any and all of her wounds with humour and a carefree attitude
• Genuinely loves the kids more than she can express
• Messy millennial, of course
Mari Illustrious Makinami
• Solo artist who works with EVA occasionally and is sort of an honorary fifth member
• Trained under Nerv Entertainment but has a career in the UK/Europe
• Probably a Eurovision winner
• Doesn’t worry about fame, just enjoys her life, relentlessly optimistic, bit of an adrenaline junky
• Loves competition
• Old friends with Asuka, lowkey they have a thing but it’s very casual, they don’t do labels
Gendo Ikari
• Entered the entertainment industry to fulfill Yui's abandoned idol dreams after her death
• Yui once dreamed of becoming an idol but abandoned the dream, life pulled her elsewhere, part family expectations, academia, and illness
• Yui passed away (from cancer), leaving Gendo bitter and fixated on preserving her legacy
• Less about personal passion and more about vicariously fulfilling Yui's aspirations

Ang3ls (The Angels)
Run by SEELE Entertainment
• Media frames them as EVA's "rivals" — debuting slightly earlier or positioned to dominate the same market
• Legacy group: originally made their debut 15 years back and retired. Now they’re back.
• Avant garde fashion, a clean almost synthetic sound, lots of religious references
