Are the ones who were damaged in moon big the only androids around then or no?

If you take a look at the timeline, all of the androids currently on hermitcraft by the time the moon crashed into hermitcraft were: Doc, [activated some time between seasons 7 and 8] Etho, Mumbo, Tango, Impulse [all activated together at the very start of the season], Wels, False, and Joe [Activated a month or so into the season], and Cub [activated towards the mid-end of the season]. So out of the 9 androids, 6 of them were damaged in some way by the end of the season—not necessarily during the moon crash (etho’s cracks came from his deviation and he shut down at least a month or so before the server crashed, and Wels is seen with that face scar well before the moon starts getting bigger), though many of them (Cub, Tango, Joe, Mumbo) did end up injured amidst their “escape”s.

Impulse and False (as of what I have planned currently anyway!) are the only two androids who manage to start Season 9 with minimal injuries (and getting away scot free even though all of their other friends sustained injuries makes them feel really normal I’m sure).

Someone's probably said it before but deactivated androids being frozen in the pose they "died" in is DIABOLICAL. Etho on his knees, then grappling for his life. Tango adrift through space, shredded. Mumbo, uh, (checks notes) dying badly (sad!). You're an evil genius.

I can’t take full credit for it bc the whole ‘locking/freezing up when they die’ is definitely from Dbh, but it’s soooo fun to apply it in the au for angst. >:3 The shot from children of the machine when doc sees all of the deactivated broken androids for the first time is soooo devastating it makes me. Sick <3 I’m putting here the page from Children of the Machine Explained where I talk a little bit about it, but I love that it gives us a little look into how they were recovered—i.e, like you said, the pose they died in (weeps).

uhhhhhhhhhh And then, I uhhhhh Got a little carried away thinking about it and did some really quick doodles of the full poses I imagine everyone from this shot was recovered in :) enjoy my little felt marker brush fellas!

Tango, found like we know he shut down in space post Evil-Rabbit-Induced-Explosion (as seen in Moon Waltz) (the more I think about him being recovering like this the more I am greatly upset)

Mumbo we don’t know much about besides the crack on his face, and without getting too much into it (because i do plan on (and am really excited about) exploring this more!), I do imagine he ends up down the boatem hole, so alas there he floats <3

Cub with a similar fate to Tango, with his hands and knees all singed and burned from the botched potion-explosion (As discussed a bit in his official ref sheet)!

And Wels and Joe, whose poses both don’t really give anything away about their respective scars or injuries, but I wanted to doodle out anyway :3
