Discovering The Mind Palace

When he opens his eyes again, he sees a sphere above him. The round object shimmers in a light turquoise tone. Like his LEDs, is the first thing that crosses his mind.

The sphere does not glow very strongly. He has the urge to touch it. So he stretches out his right hand until his fingertips touch the object. A strange feeling. The white of his chassis begins to disappear. Makes way for the black he wears in the real world. The colour flows from his arm upwards until his whole body resembles his real image. His software adjusts as the sphere rises higher and higher. He raises his other hand and tries to hold it, but the only thing he can grasp are small particles. Almost like stars...?

Thoughts and ideas flow from his fingers like paint from a brush. The world around him takes shape. Trees, clouds, stars. Countless stars. Forests, lakes, mountains, fog and fireflies.

And at the very top, the sphere from which everything gushes forth. Now much brighter and shining more strongly. Like his imagination.

He is not afraid. He knows "what" this place is. It is his place. His very own place. His Zen Garden.
