Translator Note: This card is likely named after a house spirit, as part of the joke of the Prankids is they’re themed after Household/Nature Spirits, along with thermodynamic physics. We’re not quite sure which one this card is referencing. It’s certainly readable as Doodle (as in “cock-a-doodle-doo”) on its own, but may have another name mixed in there. One possibility is Gillie Dhu, a famed Scottish nature spirit, but we’ll hold off on any potential name punnery until seeing the final remaining Link Monster.

Required Side Quest 12: take another step backwards
The connectivity of the internet and how it has helped me become a better communicator:
I’d like to take the time to share a personal experience,
Back in High School, I was an admin of a simple confessions page where the group would retrieve submissions from students and post them anonymously to a forum where the public can react and look at posts. There were many aspects to the “job” yet when I joined the page was bare bones. It lacked the personality and organization of many other pages. So, when the page started getting more traction from the work I’ve done to post more and more, I realized that more traction means more public interaction. Which can further lead to any negative or unsafe posts used in the page. From there, I helped the admin team form some ground rules, simple and understandable rules that won’t have backlash but will hold true in guaranteeing safety among students. The organized and proper posting was spearheaded by some student who remained silent for most of his high school life. The person who was outshined by the “popular kids” in high school turned out to be the person pushing for the communicative forum of the school. (I don’t want to toot my own horn, but that silent child was me) Yet I was humble for the position and the work I had to do. Further onwards, I had to hire new admins which allowed my communicative skills to expand further into somewhat a formal job-like tone and as time passed by I managed to transform that formality into an understanding tone to which I have today. Although this was one part that influenced how I write and speak today it must be why I came out of my shell and became more communicative with other individuals. Other digital media such as online games or forums further pushed the casual communicative persona of myself and assisted the building of each thought process in talking to another individual. I still remember how I would have social anxiety for only hanging out with another individual and now the only social anxiety I have is for interviews or meeting my girlfriend’s parents.
I only write this as somewhat a case study and a personal experience to show that the digital media out there is to grow a person’s sociability and communicative skills. Hopefully, someone out there can take this story and use it for their own use of growing themselves.
However, this is only just another one of my personal memories that makes me feel like an old person saying “BaCk iN mY DaY, wE DiDn’T hAvE tIK toK.”
