when you’re a young adult going to a public high school in middlebury, vermont, image is everything. being a part of something is everything, especially when you’re part of a group that everyone knows. these guys have watched each other grow up, from birthday parties at the local mcdonalds’ jungle gym to middle school dances to house parties and keg stands when someone’s parents were away. through the best - like senior year, when the football team won the state championship - and the worst of high school, these guys were always there for each other. somehow, though, graduation proved to be too trying for them to stick it out. some have gone their own way, and some have stayed in middlebury to create homes and families. either way - no matter how hard they try to forget, the friends they made and kept for twelve years of their life are hard to cut ties with. somehow, by some stroke of luck (or misfortune) they’re all in town to attend elijah and valentina’s wedding. y i k e s.

theo + ashley: dated for not that long before she got pregnant and he peaced tf out of there because he sure as hell wasn’t ready
grew up living with his grandparents and getting occasional visits from his crackhead parents (a few times with a new sibling in tow). high school golden boy and football star who left his family and friends behind after he accidentally knocked up adelaide after a short fling… oops. became a travel journalist to escape his problems and is lowkey lonely as hell and ready to grow up.

maternal type, always looking to look after others despite being the youngest of the group. can be pretty cynical and woe-is-me at times but like… c’mon. she had a kid at 17 so cut her some slack! now she’s married to sam and she’s not sure if she really loves him or if she’s just glad to have someone to help her raise a kid.

wila met her high school sweetheart and it was pretty much like a movie romance. they were young and extremely in love and they bickered but at the end of the day, rhett was the only one she wanted to be with. they married right out of high school, but it didn't last long.

years of hard work and applying for many scholarships and grants later, she'd been accepted to columbia. rhett wanted to stay, wila knew she needed to leave. after a pretty verbally volatile night, she packed her bags and left. she's been in nyc ever since.
she met her fiance through a few friends at the firm she interned with after her schooling. it wasn't a movie romance like she had with rhett, but he was safe and stable and he treated her right. typically she wasn't one for anything vanilla in life, however they did mesh well. but she'd be lying if she said she didn't think about what her life would be like if she were still married to rhett. he's pretty much always in the back of her mind.
everything was going right. she had a good, steady job. a nice place in manhattan. a fiance who loved her, who wanted a future with her. but as the date of her wedding started to get closer, she was notified of one huge mistake that could change everything. she couldn't get married yet, because she was still married to rhett. #oops?
wila needs her ex-husband aka current husband, rhett! the only reason she’s back in middlebury is to get this figured out. rhett doesn’t even know that they aren’t divorced, but probs will be a smug bastard about it when he finds out. they still love each other, and they’re still just as passionate and at each other’s throats as they used to be. but i think wila is going to start being happy in their small town and letting loose again and feelings/emotions she’s pushed way deep down come to the surface again. it’s a total sweet home alabame plot, i can’t help myself. give it 2 me pls!

“charlie” - 21/22, college student, open usergroup
jared, greer and charlie (obvs doesn’t need to be his name) all met each other in their early years of school at middlebury college. they were all trying to find themselves and in doing that became really close friends. they spent their days hanging out on the quad and meeting up in coffee shops, drinking at parties and getting taco bell at 3AM. they’ve been pretty inseparable ever since. there's also been a lot of feelings happening and blatant flirting but none of them actually talk about it and they’re mostly confused about everything. there's going to be angst and smut and feels and all the fab poly things. we'dlovecharlieheaton but also not required and we're up for suggestions! please contact me on discord (raeadieu#6866) if you’re interested!
james needs his 18/19 year old daughter! he met her mom back in college and they married and had hallie pretty quickly, but things went south soon after and when james found her mom cheating on him, they called it quits. they were supposed to share custody, but hallie has been with james more than her mom ever since the divorce. her mom isn’t a horrible person, she’s just kinda selfish? and a little unstable. when her mother got remarried and started a new family, that pretty much cut off her communication with hallie.
their relationship is very strong, and while they probably bicker and butt heads a lot, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her and vice versa. she’s his world tbh. her mother kinda ruined james, so she’s had to deal with watching him go through that, but they’ve always been there for each other.
she’d be either 18 or 19. i have 18 in his app, but we can bump it slightly is the face claim demands it. she’s a college student who can either go to one of the schools in middlebury or commute to burlington like james does for work. the face claims i had in mind were hailee steinfeld, hailey baldwin, kat mcnamara or sabrina carpenter, but none of them are required and i’m always up for suggestions. james’ face claim is jeffrey dean morgan, so keep that in mind!
