list of plots straight from my books read in 2025:
the favorites by layne fargo: ice dancing partners who started when they were just kids. we can plan out the dynamics but basically they've known each other since forever and have been relying on each other for everything until things start to get serious and one of them wants the medals more than anything, which builds a bridge in their relationship. at some point in the book they skate with other partners and then go back with each other, we could start from that or from the period things are going down. muse suggestion: pinar pulat, new muse.
ready or not by cara bastone: girl has a one night stand with a random guy and gets pregnant, turns out the guy is already in a relationship and things with him get complicated so her best friend's brother steps in to help around (could time-skip to when she's already had the baby tbh) and she slowly falls in love with him only to find out that he's been in love with her for decades. muse suggestion: videl kumar, dane pollen, keegan mitchell.
rewind it back by liz tomforde: neighbors since they were in the womb basically, parents are friends and they grew up together. they were each other first time, first love, first kiss and everything until around 15/16 one of them finds out their parents are having an affair with each other or some other secret that we can work out and one of the families moves away. they end up losing contact until many years later (think 19/20, after college?) they're neighbors again and can't stop seeing each other. muse suggestions: dane pollen, ayla wellington.
let's pretend by e.salvador: sports boy who gets more attention than he can handle, has his family on his neck about keep a good image and settling down meets girl who needs money so badly she's overworking and falling asleep on the counter as she bartends or something, he offers her some money to get win the bid at some charity event that is auctioning dates with the players and she does. after that, it becomes clear that having a girl on his arm makes things easier for him so he offers to keep paying her and she accepts. except he starts having waaay too much fun showering her with gifts and the sexual tension between them only grows as they have to pretend they're dating. muse suggestions: milo sykes, alma moreno, nadia dive, gael narvaez.
please don't go by e.salvador: tw suicide attempt boy finds girl at the edge of a cliff on new years eve and talks her out ending her life, they spend most of the night talking until they fall asleep on the floor, when he wakes up she's not there anymore. he spends the next two weeks wondering what happened to her and regretting that he only took her first name, until they meet at random (in the book her tires get slashed and he meets her by the road but it could be as random as meeting at the grocery store) and he can't let her go again. he starts showing up for her in the most random ways and she slowly gives in. bonus points if he eventually moves in into her house, in the book she was left this mansion after her mother passed and it's quiet and lonely so she asks him to move in and he's eager to accept cause he truly wants to make her life better. in the book she's struggling with her mother's death and he is also grieving the death of his brother, we could incorporate that or not. muse suggestion: dane pollen, nadia dive. and if roles reversed, theo hughes.
not from a book but i'd still love this plot...
based on ask ve gozyasi: in love couple gets married and three years later their wedding is terrible but they’re keeping up the appearances until the guy decides he’s had enough and wants to file for divorce and server her papers. except when he gets there she tells him she’s got a terminal illness and might die soon.
aaand unde read more a list of some open starters i have posted based on plots (i'd still love to plot things out for these if u want hehe)
