An Educational Post about Kim Jaejoong

For whispersofafangirl and for crescent-moon-rising. I've spammed you guys enough, and it's probably high time I start sending you music LOL.

Sadly, thanks to SM Entertainment, their agent, being a douche, the group of five broke up into two. *ugly sobbing* Long story short, Kim Jaejoong, Kim Junsu, and Park "Micky" Yuchun wanted more creative rights and schedules where they were not made to work for like 20 hours a day with only 4 hours a sleep every night while doing appearances seven days a week. SM Entertainment refused, and the final split occurred in 2009 - 2010. Don't get me started on Korean agency contracts. They are fucking slave drivers -- literally.

So, first I suppose we should start with DBSK Classics:

Hug -- the DBSK Debut in 2003.

Rising Sun -- Another classic in my book, and it gives a good introduction to all the members of DBSK.

Rising Sun -- Btw, did I mention THEY KNOW HOW TO SPEAK AND SING IN JAPANESE?!?! If I didn't, then here you go! They actually have released their songs in several language versions, usually in Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese. AND THEY LEARNED THE ACTUAL LANGUAGES TOO. No translators necessary! Well, they're not very good at English though LOL.

And here is Rising Sun in Chinese! ;) (Live Performance) LOOK AT THAT CHOREOGRAPHY. What was SO GREAT about DBSK is that they like NEVER lip synced. Their voices were so point that they hardly needed editing and were actually known for being better in live performances than on their albums.

Hi Ya Ya -- a summery song about spending a day at the beach with a loved one, my personal recommendation. This was literally my ringtone for like 3 years. LOL

Another love would have to be The Way U Are (please don't mind the bad hair...). It just knows how to make a girl feel sexy BAHAHAHA.

The lamentations in the Japanese song, Stand by U.

A beautiful love song by the name "Miduyoh" meaning, "I Believe."

Mirotic -- the song that launched DBSK to the peak of their popularity, so provocative by Korean standards, it had to be censored and banned BAHAHAHA.

On the opposite, here's a song about the psychotic, stalking ex in Wrong Number.

And, a beautiful Christmas fairy tale in the song, Magic Castle.

OKAY, to be quite honest, there are like NO bad DBSK songs in my opinion LOL, well Purple Line was certainly something else, but we won't got into detail about that...

Of course after the split, JYJ was banned from Korean TV thanks to SM Entertainment's mob boss like control over Korean media. Ugh, let me tell you that HARDLY stopped them from thriving!

Tomorrow is DBSK/JYJ's 10th year anniversary.... I have so many freaking feels it's not even funny!!! OH GOD MAKE IT STOP. I literally feel like crying everytime I think about it. UGH. :(

So i was listening to W by JYJ while reading the translated lyrics, drowning myself in emoshinki feels when suddenly my mom stepped into my room.

It was silent except for the song playing from my laptop. We were doing our own activities when she suddenly piped up,

"This song is beautiful."

I don't know, but it felt like butterflies suddenly appeared in my stomach, I felt astonished yet proud when she praised the song. So automatically I replied,

"I know right? The lyrics are beautiful too."

"Really? The song must be about sad stuffs."

"Yep."

I really had to stop myself there. Because at that moment, I had the urge to blabber every.single.thing about DBSK and JYJ to her, but then I decided to end the conversation there.

watching shinhwa broadcast and watching the part they come back is really painful because it reminds me of dbsk and makes me think 'when are they coming back as five' and watching these fans that waited so long for shinhwa is just augh it reminds me of cassiopeia only i wish i wish i wish we were more united and maybe even a db5k comeback would do that i just bluhhh i really wish they'd come back
