DC Cafe Launches SHAZAM Meal
DC Cafe is absolutely one of my favorite hangout/ themed restaurant in the Philippines. Being a comic and movie superhero fan, I feel always at home in there.
Just recently, we we’re invited to be one of the first to try out their April dishes offering the Shazam Power Meals ! Also in time for the release of Shazam movie !
I’ve been to all of DC Cafe food tasting event since they opened and…

Napolean Complex
One of the greatest parts about living in the Columbia Heights/Adams Morgan area is the seemingly never ending supply of quirky, tucked-away restaurants. Thankfully, most of them range from pretty affordable to stupid cheap, which makes paying the outrageous rent around here a little more manageable. This morning for brunch, my boyfriend and I wandered over to Napolean Bistro, a cozy cafe-inspired establishment that managed to pull off being simultaneously decadent and casual.
People who know me are well aware that I am a fiend for breakfast. Truly, I am a bit of a breakfast slut. I love it in all forms, at any time of the day. At one point during my senior year of college, my friends had to sit me down and have a cereal intervention, but that was a particularly dark time. But what I'm trying to convey is that I have definitely developed a high standard when it comes to dining out for the most important meal of day. And Napolean, just as its tiny and furious namesake would suggest, conquered my heart and taste buds.
The place has a bit of a dark, almost royal theme going on. Lots of black and chandeliers. You'd think it would clash somewhat with the gorgeous DC sunlight streaming in through the windows and the crowd of brunching yuppies, but it worked. First I had a nutella espresso. I've decided that when I die, I want it to be because I drowned in a vat of this drink. Quite literally, it was a shot of espresso in a cup lined with a glob of nutella, and topped with whipped cream. It might be able to replace sex for me. I also got an omelette with salmon and dill & chive cream cheese, which I realized immediately after I ordered it might actually be kind of gross inside of an omelette, but it turns out that despite my coma-level pre-breakfast stupor, my killer breakfast instincts were dead on. Everything about this place was a win. They have another location in Georgetown called Bonaparte (get it?). I will definitely be hitting that up.
