Character of the day
Character:Death of the endless
Some facts about her :
She is a part of 7 siblings who each represent a different aspect of the universe. They can change their appearance to fit different people's expectations. They are the children of Time and Night, and have existed for a very long time.
Her siblings include: Dream (and Dream II), Destiny, Destruction, Desire, Despair, Delirium and Dusk. She is the second eldest of her siblings. She is the closest with Dream.
One day in every century, Death lives a day as a mortal to understand the creatures she has dominion over.
Death has claimed that she was there when the first living being was born and will be there when the last being dies. She guides the dead away from whatever realm that they are on into a place called the Sunless lands.
The Sunless lands serves as a transitionary realm. It is a place where the soul stays until they go to the appropriate afterlife or get reincarnated. She does not guide the dead souls to to the afterlife, only guiding them to the Sunless Lands and acting as a gateway for whatever lies beyond for them.
As well as being the personification of death and having its gift, she also has the gift of life. She infuses a body with life at the time of birth or during reincarnation.
Death is a very compassionate being and talks to the beings who she brings to the other side. She welcomes everyone to death, regardless of who or what they are.
Her necklace that she wears is an Egyptian Ankh which represents life.
Compared to her siblings she has limitless magical powers that they do not have.
When she first started her job, she was more sombre, however she has grown to like it and developed a more upbeat personality.
She is omnipresent which means that she can exist anywhere, everywhere all at once.
She has appeared in the Sandman TV show as well as her own DC showcase movie.
She appears in Tim Hunters book, the Book of Magic, where she served as his guide and taught him some more information about his role and his powers alongside Zatanna, Constantine and Phantom Stranger. She also has had interactions with Lucifer and the Spectre.
A quote by her, "When the last living thing dies my job will be finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave."
Some head canons
Tim hunter called her to his high school dance.
She listens to evanescence.
She’s always learning new things about human nature and modern day slang in which she uses when working with new people. She teaches Dream these new slangs as well.
She enjoys going to social events like concerts when she becomes mortal, dragging out Tim Hunter or Zatanna with her.

Fell hardcore, painfully in love with Death and she had like 15 minutes of screen time. If this is the face that greets me, take me now. My fragile will to live completely dissolved when she smiled.
You don't have to be into CPR and Resus to be unable to help but feel something is wrong with uploads on porno sites featuring real, actual, honest-to-god life-or-death emergency situations that actually happened where a Human being is unconscious in public or elsewhere and their heart is in afib or is stopped, so paramedics or an ordinary samaritan gives them CPR to save their life now currently at risk of being lost. This is somebody who could have just as likely died that day and you're getting off to that? I can understand the intimacy behind CPR, being revived by a handsome man or beautiful woman, your heart and life literally in their hands, your lungs being filled with their breath, the whole shebang, that's part of the wish to roleplay, but how could you take any enjoyment in such a frightening experience where you were probably on the brink of taking the grim reaper's hand.
With The Sandman now out on Netflix o want to bring attention to an animated short part of a collection with various DC characters called DC Showcase
Special DC Showcase: Death
that follows well Death of The Endless.
It's bitter sweet but really good little story, highly recommend.
Ngl it also makes me really want to see more like original stories with them in this animated style
-I am loving the Netflix series and cast chosen, no complaints but also getting to see characters move looking in the style of the comic would be dope you can't deny
what if i was DCs death....just a thought
