Everytime I see a "it's fine" or "it's okay" review of Justice League, what I really see is, "it's okay, not as bad as I thought it was gonna be". 🙃🙃
And it's so fucking infuriating.
Can we please stop pitting these two directors against each other? Patty Jenkins and Zack Snyder deserve better than this. And stop with the Joss Whedon ass kissing.
For months I saw articles of how JL was truly Joss's movie, that WB didn't want to give proper credit to Joss, that Joss came in and changed the tone of the movie making it no longer Zack's movie, and more articles along claiming that Joss had more hands on the movie than people were letting on. But with every negative review/article I see, I see "Zack Snyder's Justice League" everywhere. At every possible time, they mention Zack Snyder and how he ruined the movie. I'm sorry, but weren't these same sources claiming months ago that Joss came in and saved the movie from being a certifiable disaster?
So why is no one calling Joss out? Huh?
John Campea is the biggest hypocrite ever! Marvel can make changes to their slate, have re-writes, and directorial changes -- and he claims its all part of the process.
But the moment DC/WB does the same, all hell breaks loose. DC changes the slate, director, or something, its -- “THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!?!” Like sit the fuck down.
I swear he ranted for a year on how DC/WB is trigger shy because they won’t announce their slate, rather they wait to see if a movie is good or bad. And then he got upset that they wouldn’t announce the date for the Batman Solo Film, claiming the DC/WB is completely “reactionary”. DUDE, THEY HAVE SLATE LISTED TILL 2020, what else do you want???? But Ms Marvel being pushed back TWICE was completely okay... Jeez....
And now with this Ben Affleck stepping down incident, he is blowing a damn gasket....
Isn’t it interesting how so many people threw a massive tantrum about Superman killing Zod, when he’s done so before, in MOS yet didn’t have a problem with Daredevil doing the same in the series?
Isn’t it convenient how people suddenly refuse to see a movie where a producer works for Donald Trump when it’s the DCEU and say nothing about movies They like being produced by the same person?
I’m glad Suicide Squad did so well in it’s first weekend. Now we have to prepare ourselves for the completely normal and expected drop in sales that will be spun as the film being a box-office failure.
