I don't know enough about DND to try to figure this out myself. If the rogues gallery were a party in DND what would their classes/alignments be in your opinion?
screams this is so late. uhhhhhh im just gonna. do the rogues off the top of my head so if i miss a rogue u would like DnD-ized just lemme know! also ill be using the base 5e phb classes and a few extras classes that i know of.
if its not in the phb ill try and link
also ill do the class [comma] specialization
any spells should be chosen through character’s development and what they’d choose (ie ivy would choose plant/nature based spells, while freeze would choose ice/cold based spells)
dnd disability homebrew mechanics (for ur disabled folks like slade and penguin)
backgrounds you can find through the phb and wiki (that should be pretty easy to choose based on the character’s history)
Selina Kyle/Catwoman- Rogue, Thief. Chaotic Neutral. (Steals. Everything. possibly in love with your antagonist.)
Slade Wilson/Deathstroke- Rogue, Assassin. Neutral Evil. (could make his children npcs to antagonize him)
Ed Nymga/Riddler- Bard, College of Lore. i’d see either Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil working. (as a bonus, make him a gnome (they are fond of riddles and are great tinkerers))
Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin- my first choice would’ve been artificer but theyre not great player characters? if your making an npc cobblepot an artificer would be good. otherwise Fighter, Battlemaster. Lawful Evil. (as a bonus give him the rogue ability Thieves’ Cant or the criminal background feature Criminal Contact)
Harley Quinn- Ranger, Beastmaster (with a hyena or two for your companion). Depending on what version you wanna go with, either Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil would be good. (have her be a melee ranger with a hammer of sorts as a weapon.)
Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy- Druid, Circle of the Land. True Neutral (makes decisions favoring plants/nature.)
Floyd Lawton/Deadshot- Gunslinger, Desperado. True Neutral. (link, but look around the internet. there’s some others variants of the gunslinger class, with different specializations. i know matt mercer has a gunslinger class made up from his critical role campaign)
Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze- Sorcerer, Draconic Bloodline (white/silver). Chaotic Neutral. (will make any decision to help his wife, no matter the cost.)
Jonathon Crane/Scarecrow- Warlock, The Great Old One Patron. Chaotic Evil. (the great old one could be almost any being you want, so you could make it some sort of fear god)
Cyrus Gold/Solomon Grundy- Barbarian, Path of the Berserker. Chaotic Neutral. (barbarians are illiterate so solomon would be, as well.)
Harvey Dent/Two Face- Paladin, Oath of Devotion or Oath of Vengeance. OoD is definitely more law-based but the Tenets of Devotion are not very harvey-esque. you can change those if you want, though. Lawful Neutral. (as a bonus for important rolls, flip a coin and make a decision based off of the outcome)
Bane- I’d multiclass him. start of with Rogue, Assassin then have him become a Barbarian, Path of the Berserker. if you wanna go through one class though, Monk, Way of the Open Hand might work. True Neutral might work, purely because he does help out Bats sometimes to do good things. otherwise Chaotic Neutral
Bonus:
Manbat- Druid who got stuck between bat and man form.
If you have a character you’d like that isn’t on the list and isn’t one of the characters I’ve mentioned I wont do, please send me an ask or message, but be aware that I’m only doing so many at the beginning. You may have to wait awhile if I get too many suggestions, because I will eventually have to get to the NPCs, storylines, sidequests, items, etc etc
its a relief to finally have something up! canon characters will have level ups to level 5, instead of just level 1 like the oc creation sheet. when all characters are up I’ll start posting a few storylines and side quests. also, at level 5 shopping becomes an option, so I’ll also be posting the inventories of a few stores and such. Thanks again for your patience and support! now that the holidays are winding down I’ll have more time to work on this.
Original character/personal version of canon character creation sheet
Level 1
Gear: 1 basic no trick bludgeoning or cutting item for characters with high hp and strength(like Harley), no guns, tasers, etc. Trick weapons for low hp/strength characters(like riddler) acceptable at lvl 1, plus a technological item (like id card scrambler for riddler)
Abilities: at lvl 1, your character may have one ability with certain restrictions to it. Leveling up you have the option to level up your ability as well or create a new one. Examples of abilities in example original creation sheet.
Moves: at lvl 1 your character may have 2 moves which, depending on what type of character you’re creating (tank, dps, speed, etc etc) may have special effects. A character like croc would have no special effects and have bludgeoning and piercing damage, as opposed to a character like harley quinn who has moves that have special effects and link up easily as well as middle/high hp, or a character like firefly who has specialty/higher damage moves but significantly less hp and isn’t highspeed. It’s better to have two significantly different move types (ie one ranged one melee, one one type of damage and the other type another type of damage.
Limits: this category is for metahuman type ocs who have significant powers and have to be limited to keep the game fair. A good limit is how many times a character can use a certain power in battle and how many times out(putting heavier limits on out of battle moves than in battle moves is typically better.
Other information: its good to write down smaller talents (ie is ambidextrous) or things that may come up(ie nova’s ability to breathe in shadow, see character creation example sheet below) as well as a history for your character, or whatever you find interesting.
Original Character Creation Example Sheet: Nova aka Star aka Sam Smith, played by @pretty-much-a-cat
Summation Of Powers: the ability to melt into shadows and travel through them. Uses a sledgehammer in combat.
Level 1 gear: 1 one handed sledgehammer (basic, no tricks), blind man’s cane (basic, no tricks)
Level 1 Abilities: Spy lvl 1 gives you the ability to listen in on conversations from the shadows, but only if at least one ear is exposed. The same goes for seeing and eyes. The enemy gets a perception roll, and you must get a higher roll to go unnoticed. You get advantage on the roll if you hide cleverly enough
Level 1 Moves:
Catapult Kick: you charge into one shadow and come out another, enabling you to move large distances almost instantly, or change directions without losing momentum. Also counts as a surprise attack.
Hammer Attack: basically just whacking someone with your sledgehammer or cane. If done from shadows, can be used as a sneak attack.
Level 1 Limits: 3 shadow travels per battle. Can only bring so much through with you. 3 shadow travels out of battle per session.
Level 1 Stats:
HP: 25
Strength: 1
Dex: 3
Endurance: 3
Charisma: -1
Int: 3
Will: 4
Int: 4
Other Information: disadvantage on intimidation rolls in in arkham mini missions. Can breathe in shadow, doesn’t have to roll against enemy perception checks while fully submerged in shadow. Age somewhere between 17-19.
Nova is new in town and an up and coming rogue. They have, however, been successful enough that other more experienced rogues are willing to work with them. This comes with the added bonus of an unknown civilian identity (Sam Smith), as they have not yet been apprehended. Targets mostly government buildings for general destruction and vandalism, but will also steal basic goods if necessary. Will NOT hurt children under any circumstances.
