So, I got obsessed with filling out a bunch of these character meme charts about a month ago, so I think for now I'm going to have Wednesday's be my weekly upload of some of the charts I've filled out, most of which I found on pinterest, so I did my best to keep the @ credits on, if they had any,

Could you please write head cannons for Dorksquad + Penguin with a hardcore crush on the owner of a small bookshop? The crush has no idea their newest loyal customer is a Rogue, they're a little dense (too busy reading to pay attention to current events) but are so, so happy to have more people supporting a local business!!! Welcome friend!!! How did you like the book I recommended???

Jonathan Crane:

I mean, is this really all that surprising, for Jonathan ‘I do crime for books’ Crane to fall head-over-heels for a local bookshop owner

Anyone who steps foot into the bookshop while Jonathan’s there is immediately overwhelmed by the ungodly amounts of cute conversations happening

Every single day, without fail, he will show up to the bookshop to ask for another book recommendation

Best part? It’s not just to talk to the owner (even if that’s nearly the whole reason), it’s because he’s genuinely so glad to have found a fellow book nerd

Edward Nygma:

“Welcome friend!!! How did you like the book I recommended???” *cartoonish arrow pierces through Edward’s heart as the word ‘friend’ is spoken*

He shows up multiple times a day just so that he can flirt with the owner, and it all goes over their head (R.I.P Edward)

He doesn’t actually read any of the books recommended to him, he just buys it, goes online, searches up the synopsis, and talks about whether or not he likes it from there because he’s desperate for the owner to notice him

He also tries to talk about recent crimes (he committed) in Gotham in a vain attempt to get his crush to connect the dots, because to Ed, being the Riddler is the largest flex he’s got

Jervis Tetch:

You think this man settles for just hanging around and inside the bookshop? Oh, you sweet summer child

He follows the bookshop owner absolutely everywhere; from the bookshop, to any café they may go to, to their own home - not that the bookshop owner notices, mind you

He decides to bump up his own literary knowledge as well, and as on brand, he starts with Alice in Wonderland

Of course, the bookshop owner happily talks about how Alice in Wonderland is a wonderful social commentary complete with dark undertones, Carroll’s view upon justice, morality, etc. and although Jervis going through an existential crisis, he would do anything to keep the store owner interested in him

Oswald Cobblepot:

And that’s why one of Gotham’s most powerful underground bosses invested in a local bookstore

Batman was suspicious that the bookshop was some sort of cover for illegal doings, but upon interrogating the bookshop owner and finding out that they only knew a man named “Oz” whose description matched the Penguin’s to a tee, he set upon finding out the exact reason why Oswald funded the store, leading to some awkward conversations

So yeah, Batman knows, but it wasn’t like Oswald was trying to be subtle about the message; mess with this innocent adorable bookstore owner and Oswald will feed you to his penguins

He also regularly checks up on the bookstore under the guise of “ensuring his investment is a success”, but it’s really just to spend more time with the owner
