Paprika - a little bit of spice.

A caricature of the title character 'Paprika', from the very unusual and hard to follow anime film Paprika about dreams. All though the story is a little hard to follow, the animation of the film is certainly something else and worth a watch.

Yoo I just watched paprika for the first time and this is all I understood from it lol

I understood the character's motivations but all that dream stuff? Lol nope. All I know is Dr. Chiba loved tokito and paprika knew it because she's her dream psyche.. hence the meme 😂

Bár ideje előtt hagyott itt minket a művészzseni, Satoshi Kon rövid, ámde tartalmas és megfogó filmográfiájával beírta magát az anime készítés történelmébe. Az itthon sajnos annyira nem ismert, ennek ellenére zseniális sorozata, a Paranoia Agent után most következzék az a filmje, mely talán a legismertebb kis hazánkban – a Paprika.

Nov 19: Virtual Reality

While this is not quite ‘Virtual Reality’ I have always loved Paprika and I feel that the DC Mini is very close to VR (a very futuristic VR haha, like the kind in SAO).

There have been many devices that allow you to enter or view someone else's dreams, but Satoshi Kon's Paprika does it best with the DC Mini. A truly terrifying piece of technology, that Kon takes the time to show all sides of, the good and the bad.

30 Day Anime Challenge- Day 17

My favourite weapon/gear from an anime:

It's not from a series, but it's from a movie.

The movie is called Paprika and the gear that i love is the 'DC Mini'. Although from the film, it shows the faults of it. If they were actually able to make something similar to it in real life, it would be awesome. We would be able to record our dreams and use it as inspiration to create new films/architectures etc. In reality, they are close to making somethign similar, but it is connected to the brain waves of the person dreaming, which makes out similar but fuzzy images. It would be really awesome if we were able to make something of this sort.

Also, this isn't an anime but it's a video game called 'Remember me', in that video game, all their memory is recorded and could b replayed deleted and altered, which i find really cool but at the same time disturbing, Because you won't know what is your real memory and what isn't, but still pretty cool.
