Damn this is fucking delicious, holy shit! I rarely curse that much to start a review but sometimes a beer just has an effect on you and this one clearly did on me. This is the 10th variation of Woodcock Brothers’ XPA series and this one is an ode to some of the original hops in the new American IPA game and they absolutely killed it. I’m not talking about DC sniper killed it, I’m talking “grade A” Luis Garavito with a 138 victim body count killed it which is pretty damn impressive. The beer, not the murders. Actually… maybe both are. Does that make me a sicko? Probably right? Let’s just forget I mentioned it. Changing subjects, back to Woodcock Brothers (giggedy). A super smooth orange juice flavor starts this off with a mix of bitter and sweet before the bitterness really ramps up and beats your tastebuds like a red headed stepchild bringing with it some pine, resin, and oniony hop goodness before ending with more of those pungent hops with another wave of bitterness and a pillowy soft mouthfeel. I absolutely love this beer and I can’t wait to try version 11.0 because if it’s anything like this one, there will be a whole lot more cursing to come. I mean a shit load. Like a fuck ton. Ass loads of cursing. Bitch. I feel like none of the breweries I review can ever use my reviews to support how good their products are because of my potty mouth and general asshole attitude but I really hope all you readers can tell how much I love this beer and how badly you need to taste it. This is a headfirst dive into an empty pool for you newbies because this will either turn you off from the style forever due to it’s strong hop flavors and bitterness or it will have you fall in love with those little green nuggets of joy. As for the bastard drinking club members, this should be sliding down your throat as we speak so make sure you get to NY and pick up some cans ASAP!

I didn’t think I was that traumatized by it but wow I guess hiding under your desk in lockdown drills and having your teachers block you with their bodies to run to the carpool line at age 8 really sticks with you.
Also the general feeling that the “adults” around you are also scared and anxious and don’t know what’s going on.
