DCA texts!! I had the idea to do this since I saw smaus floating around other fandoms and it looked fun! So I tried my hand at them lol
I think I’ll make more if this doesn’t flop🤡 but we’ll see
dca x gender neutral reader, some cussing bc it’s me
edit: Part 2 here!
mini drabble oh my god i havent written anything for the dca for a long time
December always proved to be both the busiest and emptiest times for the Pizzaplex. Limited edition merchandise tempts hardcore fans to come and spend an obscene amount of money just to own (or sell online), holidays are celebrated for a limited time with the Glamrocks, children want to spend time with their favorite rockstars. Despite whatever deal Fazbear Entertainment can churn out from the conglomerate they are, the Superstar Daycare always seems to have the roughest waves when it came to whichever kids would end up there.
Some days, it'd be like a classroom full of them: laughter, screaming, messes full of crayons and clay decorate the walls and the playstructure, Sun finding some difficult sometimes with rallying them altogether for a shared activity. Other days, only a few would be present, maybe ten, maybe fifteen. Still a lot from the outside, but there was always a difference in energy that'd be the giveaway.
You'd seen this firsthand within the first year of working nearby, restocking candy in the theater as you frequently took breaks from the scent of cheap popcorn to walk around the Daycare itself, spotting your own favorites wrangling toddlers half your size with a masked desperation. They loved the kids, they'd told you themselves. Sometimes, though, it felt like it was too much. You understood it all too well; being a walking concessions stand for rambunctious kids wanting to see what the theater would show with parents expecting perfection from off brand candy and a buttering machine that never worked.
Customer service truly is a special Hell in your personal circle.
The loud drone comes from outside the theater, hearing the startled squeaks of scared children, and earning your attention.
Very happily, you clock out for your lunch with the nearest station and ball up your apron for future use, before making your way out to the now darkened daycare. If it weren't for the dim lights of a certain animatronic's eyes, you might've been more lost for directions than ever. Using your phone light to instead guide your way, you climb down the decorated stairs and head for the large double doors.
"But I'm not tired… I wanna play more." A very exhausted sounding child goes, a little girl. She gives a yawn you barely hear, ending with a soft squeak. The shrill giggle of Moon answers, clicks and turns of servos and gears combined with the low fwip! of his wire tells you enough.
"Now, now. The sooner you sleep, the sooner you can play again." Moon says, raspy but trying very hard to be sweet and gentle. Peeking into the glass, you spot his larger hands tucking her in with a blanket, watching her yawn again as she goes out like a light. Noticing other children were in a similar state, you can't help but smile. You knew he was trying hard to be the peaceful, 'totally-not-scary-as-hell' attendant not many people remembered him to be. It's a thought that makes you frown slightly.
Then you feel fingers tapping on your shoulders that make you look up by instinct, smiling all over again seeing him hanging above you on his wire. He gives a giggle, faceplate clicking, twitching idly.
"Hey you. Things been okay?" You whisper, mindful of the sleeping children. Moon hums lowly, the soft red glow of his eyes curtaining on your figure, before he lowers himself further to the floor even while still being taller than you by some heads.
"Fine. Usual." The animatronic replies, curt. "Some troublemakers. Took care of them."
"Yeah? Got someone messing with Sun's rays again or something?"
Moon's faceplate clicks and freezes on the angle. "Something like it."
You frown, then reach up gently to hold their face, watching Moon's frozen smile almost loosen before he leans into your palm.
"Did you both wanna talk about it?"
"No." Sun's rays pulse within their shared skull. If it weren't for Moon's glow and the bouncing light from your phone, you might've missed it.
You frown again but don't push. That was a lesson you'd learned already. Instead, your hand reaches down for Moon's hand, rubbing gently.
"Well," you start, looking down at it as you lift it up to your vision, "Theater's empty. Could give you two a nice break." Moon doesn't give an answer, simply overlooking your appearance. You can feel his eyes watching you, inspecting.
Despite how long it'd been since you knew him, it still takes you off guard when you feel yourself suddenly be picked up and your feet leave more than just the floor in a matter of seconds. You cling onto him in an instant, hearing the raspy laugh makes your face flush with red out of embarrassment. It's no wonder where he takes you; the red curtain passing by as Moon lands on his stage before carrying you inside of his and Sun's room. It's cleaner than the first time you saw it, thankfully, but you knew there were a few spots to take care of other than the stacks of chairs and tables pressed in a corner.
Moon carefully lifts you over the railing, landing on his feet once more with a simulated huff and your heart leaping from your chest in that moment. He giggles realizing how fast your heart was beating as he sets you down.
You wheeze, "You have to stop doing that to me-"
"Funny."
"Not funny."
"Always funny." Moon pushes down your hat over your eyes as he walks to his bed; a mattress with some blankets and pillows colored like planets. Readjusting your hat, you can't help but follow after him, waiting for him to lay down first before joining him. He does so after an obscenely amount of time, purposeful.
The moment his back hits the mattress (as much as possible with the hook ring always poking out), turning over, he's quick to pull you to him, back to chest. He's freezing metal. You shiver slightly as you melt in his embrace, shifting slightly to lay your head on his chest.
Neither of you say anything but enjoy the other's company. Today must've been a rough one.
That's okay.
Part 2 to this post :] More shy Moon!
Imagine you and Moon slowly getting more acquainted with one another by silently spending time together. It's kind of nice, not having the constant pressure to keep a conversation going unless you want to fall into awkward silence!
At first, Moon is still nervous around you. Too many times has he thought he was making a friend, only for them to let it slip that they were barely tolerating him and only staying silent about how annoying or creepy he was out of politeness.
So, as a way to combat his anxiety, you decided to begin to show him small, nonverbal signs of affection whenever you could. Little reassurances, to let him know that you want him around! You shuffling closer to him when he sits down near you. Leaving the door open behind you when entering a new room, silently inviting Moon to follow you. Going out of your way to keep every room you work in as dark as possible without inhibiting your ability to work.
One night, after about half an hour of "totally not noticing the very squeaky, giant animatronic with bells attached to every limb slowly sneaking up on you", he's finally become comfortable enough to sit right next to you as you work. Carefully, you reach out and take his and in yours. Both to show him some well needed affection, and to prevent any sudden escape attempts. You begin absentmindedly playing with his fingers as you fill out a particularly annoying report, while Moon completely freezes up.
He wasn't prepared for you to ever actually enjoy his presence! He already thought you were too kind for merely tolerating him, and had dismissed the growing void in his chest that ached for any kind of connection with you as wishful thinking, but then you do THIS?? He is downright flabbergasted!!
By the time that you're finally finished with the report and notice that Moon's fans have become concerningly loud, he's gone through possibly every single emotion in his system while staring down at you gently holding his hand. He looks up at you, and for a moment you could swear he was about to say something, before he takes the pen out of your hand and begins to write something down on the nearest sticky note: "Thank you for being my friend :)" You think your heart might actually explode.
😴💤 hope you weren't planning on doing anything else that night, 'cause Moon's gonna use you as a pillow for as long as he can get away with.
MORE DRABBLES 🔥🔥\o/🔥🔥 This one's a long one °v°
You notice that during the daycare's Arts & Crafts time, Sun seems incredibly eager to shred any piece of art handed to him. And you are instructed to hand every piece of art the children make to him. Whether he does it because of his programming, or because he somehow believes it to be for the greater good does intrigue you, but Sun seems oddly cagey around the subject so you don't press him further on it. He stops at nothing when it comes to shredding all of the kids' artwork, not even art specifically made for him! Though when he does get his hands on a gift for him, he at least seems to genuinely appreciate it, taking a good long look at the sometimes barely decipherable scribbles.
Moon, on the other hand, never gets to see any of the art made for him. At least not in one piece. You can tell it bums him out at least a little, even if he wouldn't admit to it. The solemn tone of his voice alone tells you enough to know that you need to have Moon see some of the gifts the kids draw for him with his own eyes, not just through Sun's.
You try to stash away any drawings with Moon on them by the next Arts & Crafts activity, but Sun is either clairvoyant or just the most observant person ever, because before you know it he's looming behind you as you quickly try to cram the drawings into your bag. "What'cha got there, rulebreaker?" "UUUUHHHH, oh, uhm, heeeeey Sunny! I was just, uhhh-" okay, pretending that you weren't doing something you were clearly doing is probably not a bright idea. Maybe you can reason with him? "-Okay, listen. Moon would really like to see some of the art the kids make for him. You get to see it all the time, it's not fair that he never gets to actually appreciate it! Could I please keep some of these to show to him? I promise we'll shred these too, I just want Moon to-" Aaaand before you could even finish your sentence, Sun has already taken all of the drawings you had in your bag and left to shred them. "I'm sorry teach', but rules are rules!" Damn, okay. Time for a new approach then.
After Arts & Crafts time is over, you volunteer to gather all of the bins with the paper shreds and toss them into the nearest dumpster. Sun is understandably suspicious of you, but stealing paper shreds didn't seem to be something he cared much about considering he directly handed you the bin he shredded all of the Moon drawings into himself. You discreetly put the paper into your bag before emptying out the remaining bins, finishing the rest of your shift, and heading home.
You spend the next few days puzzling together the shreds of paper to the best of your ability. You sort them, arrange them, glue them down on a new piece of paper for added stability, and get way more paper cuts that you're comfortable admitting. But at last, your gift is finally done!
You drag Moon aside after the daycare is closed for the day and the lights have turned off, telling him that you have something exciting for him. You pull out your bag and begin carefully sifting through it while Moon practically vibrates in place. You can't quite tell if it's because he's excited or anxious, but he's watching your hands like a hawk as you take out the gift you've made for him and place it in his hands. Moon doesn't say anything for a while. In fact, he doesn't move, either. You're starting to worry that you either broke him, or thoroughly disappointed him with your lacking puzzling skills, until you hear the tiniest, shakiest "thank you" from him.
You didn't know the animatronics were capable of crying, but there you were, holding on to the sobbing mess that Moon suddenly was.
More DCA texts!!!
I received such a positive response from the first part so I decided to make more! These are a little different because they’re way more chaotic LMFAO I couldn’t resist making y/n a little 𝒻𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓀𝓎 (the ace urge to be a little freaky)
I dunno how to feel but these, I feel like they’re not as funny as the last ones… but oh well I’ll try being more funny for the next ones Part 1
cw: suggestive? it’s more of a joking manner but still, pure chaos
these are much more freaky than i thought holy shit
Moon period comfort
a/n: this is so self-indulgent my periods are STRAIGHT ASS oml, decided I needed some dca comfort(as always). Anyone else who suffers from their period, I salute you 🫡, NOT PROOFREAD, this is my period induced and sleepy thoughts so be warned lol
cw: periods, talk of periods, minor blood but nothing too bad, reader has a period but otherwise its gender neutral
You’re floating in between consciousness, not asleep yet not quite awake, a fuzziness embracing the edges of your mind that you welcome. Your leg is hiked up, thrown over his hip, anchoring him towards you. Your other rests tangled in between his, and your arms are wound around his waist, your head resting on his chest, listening to the gentle hum and whirr of his internals.
It’s a position you’re both familiar with, one you’ve defaulted to when you slide under the sheets, long after the world is engulfed in darkness. It’s become habit now to sleep with moon in your arms, he’s strangely comfortable for his large stature, one that barely fit in your bed to begin with.
You liked to stay like this even if you weren’t asleep, and moon was more than happy to indulge you. Even if you didn’t sleep, you were getting rest, which satisfied him since you would oftentimes stubbornly push your limits when left to your own devices.
you remain in his warm embrace, engulfed in his massive hands, drifting in and out of awareness.
you’re suddenly snapped alert by a weird feeling between your thighs, a cold sense of dread washing down your spine. urgency parts the fuzz of your mind as you shuffle out of his hold, your body already screaming to lie back down with him.
you’re engulfed in a red glow as you put on your slippers. His eyes opened at the loss of your touch, red optics illuminating your surroundings as a grumble of displeasure rumbles from within him.
“Bathroom,” you mumble, shuffling towards the door. He’s right behind you, chest almost pressed against your back, opening the door and following you down the cold hallway. He crouches down, legs folded up as you flick the bathroom light on and close the door, waiting for you patiently. You squint at the bright light as you shimmy your shorts down.
Your trip confirms your suspicions, a dark stain forming in your underwear, soiling your clothes.
You curse, beginning to rummage through your cabinet as you call out. “Hey, moon?”
“Yes, stardust?” Comes his immediate reply.
“Can you get me a new change of clothes? I just started my period.”
“No I cannot,” is his response as he jingles away. You huff slightly in amusement, picturing him cartwheeling away down the hall. He likes to deny your requests while on his way to fulfill them. It drives sun up the wall, but you can’t help but find it entertaining.
Soon he arrives with a fresh pair of clothes for you, slipping his way into the bathroom. You huff, “and what do you think you’re doing in here, mister?”
He grins. “Housekeeping.” He extends the clothes with one hand, beckoning with the other. “Now strip.”
You can’t help but laugh through your tiredness as you take the clothes. “At least take me to dinner first, sir.”
His head does a spin as he leans forward. “No can do. I’m on the job.” He takes your soiled pair of clothes as you change, turning away towards the cleaning products you laid out.
“You don’t have to, I can do it myself.” You can’t help but pout as you begin to wash your hands, still not used to being helped with such things.
His low chuckle is almost drowned out by the sound of running water. “Of course. You’re a grown-up.” Gentle scrubbing and the smell of lavender fill the air. His head turns toward you. “But grown-ups still deserve to be taken care of.”
You blink. You can’t help but think about his words. You were always used to taking matters into your own hands, now second nature to you. But when was the last time someone took care of you, no hesitation, no questions asked?
You remain silent as you dry your hands, before padding over to his side. You wrap your arms around his middle, nuzzling into his side. “Thank you,” you sigh.
“Always for you, stardust.” He hums, looping an arm around your shoulders.
You’re clean and fresh, and your other clothes are drying as he leads you back to your room. He gently pushes you down, climbing in beside you as he begins to run his hands down your sides. “Where does it hurt?”
Luckily there’s not much pain left after taking medication. “It’s mostly around my hips and stomach.”
You groan as he expertly massages the discomfort around your hips. His large hands work away the tension and knots, leaving you limp in his hold.
You feel the rising warmth in his palms as his hands move toward your middle. They settle over your lower abdomen, warm fingers resting just above your ribcage. “Better?” He whispers.
You press them closer to you, sighing at the relief that washes through you. “So much better.”
His mouth twitches into a soft grin. “Good,” he says, eyes a soft white, “now sleep.”
You shift in his hold, wrapping yourself around him while a warm hand remains on your middle.
“Thank you, moon.” You yawn, laying your head over his chest. You feel the inviting tug of sleep pulling at the corners of your mind, welcoming you into weightlessness.
You feel fingers carding through your hair as your breathing begins to slow.
“Sleep well, stardust.”
