DC Comics Release New Logo
DC Comics has revealed their new logo, and it’s very old school. The logo is a tribute to the company’s 80 years in publishing comics.
DC Comics have unveiled a new logo, replacing the current one they have been using for just 4 years.
The company announced the new logo for their brand as a way to honor their 80 year history. “While comics continue to be the heart and soul of DC, the brand has evolved to now stand for powerful storytelling across so many different forms of media. DC is home to the greatest Super Heroes and Super-Villains, and the new logo has the character and strength to stand proudly alongside DC’s iconic symbols,” stated Amit Desai, DC Entertainment Senior Vice President of Marketing and Global Franchise Management.
This version of the DC logo is the 11th since the company started. It will first appear in the DC Universe Rebirth Special #1 debuting 25 May 2016.
The new logo is similar to the logo used in 1976 and many think it looks like some of the older logos combined.
