earth 86!verse, the flash au; Iris West was with Barry Allen when the particle accelerator went off and the lightning that stuck him also hit her, they both fell into a coma, but Iris woke up four months before Barry, after being given a clean bill of health by one Doctor Caitlin Snow at Star Labs, Iris is released from the care of Star Labs. When she soon discovers her newfound abilities, she goes to one of her closest friends and fellow budding reporter, Linda Park, after showing Linda her newly discovered powers, Linda asks why she doesn’t tell star labs about them and Iris tells her she doesn’t trust Harrison Wells, a feeling that she can’t quite explain but just knows somethings off about him. Together Iris and Linda do some research on Harrison Wells and end up finding one Hartley Rathaway, a former protege of Wells who was kicked out of Star Labs for trying to speak up against Wells. Hartley who has also been affected by the particle accelerator reluctantly joins the two reporters in an attempt to unearth the secrets of Harrison Wells and his particle accelerator.
