When Conan Realises Our Lil Ayumi is not the force to reckon with .....
Episode 21: The Case of the TV Drama Murder
Yoko Okino is starring in a romance murder movie. She has some interesting coworkers, including a popular romance actor who thought he was better than everyone else, an evil sarcastic camera man with a laughing watch, a crew member who looked as though he just woke up from a coma, and his fiancée - a quiet girl with short hair and glasses. (Obviously the murderer). Oh yeah, and there was an old grandpa with gigantic eyebrows and no eyes. Ran dragged Conan around by the arm like a ragdoll twice. Mouri got drunk as usual. The guy with the laughing watch was murdered, and he left a dying message written in blood, but nobody has any problem touching his blood, for three people altered it in order to hide the true message.
Best Quotes:
Laughing Watch: Wrawrawrawrawrawra
Camera Man: “It’s my watch alarm. Isn’t it cool?”
***
Romance Actor: A romance star like me can’t be caught in a vulgar place like this.”
Conan: “Romance star this, romance star that! He’s really starting to get on my nerves.”
***
Romance Star: (About the dying message) “YOU MORON! DO YOU THINK A ROMANCE ACTOR WOULD HAVE SUCH A STUPID NICKNAME?”
Episode 23: The Cruise Ship Serial Murder Case (Part 2)
Someone let Zaiki out of the cargo hold. The lights went out, and the aunt’s son, who draws a lot, was stabbed in the leg. Conan got freaked out by something in the closet. It was probably Zaiki. The Hatamotos continued to all blame each other for the murder until Conan finally deduced that the aunt’s son stabbed himself, because he is insane and thought that it would make him less suspicious. In the end, Conan knew the aunt’s son was the culprit because artists use bread as erasers. The granddaughter and Zaiki get back together and live happily ever after.
Episode 22: The Cruise Ship Murder Case (Part 1)
The Hatamoto group is a really nice family and they all go on a cruise together. The grandfather, and head of the family, is an irritable man who doesn’t like anybody or anything, or western food. His youngest granddaughter is recently married and Ran befriends her. Her husband seems nice, but he is actually Zaiki. He loses his flower, becomes the main murder suspect, and they lock him in the cargo hold. The granddaughter’s aunt has large eyes, eavesdrops at doors, and is obsessed with making sure that her husband inherits Grandfather’s estate. Her husband doesn’t speak, and neither does their son, who needs a haircut and draws pictures all the time. Her brother is a cook from France. Then there is the granddaughter’s flamboyant sister and her husband. The sister is too weird to even describe, and her husband has spiky orange hair. (He’s a rock star, apparently, but has no musical talent and gets murdered at the end of the episode). The Grandfather is murdered by a ninja. Oh, and there is a butler too. He has eyebrows the same size as his mustache, and it looks like he doesn’t have eyes, but he does, as you find out when he discovers the body.
Best Quotes:
Butler: (About Grandfather) “He hated western food, and even the sight of bread would make him want to throw up.”
Episode 27: Kogorou’s Reunion Murder Case (Part 1)
Mouri is saved from Ran’s wrath when a bank is robbed. He catches the robber with Conan’s help, but the robber’s gun goes missing. Then Mouri goes to a reunion at a hot spring. Ran and Conan eat bento on the train there. Kogoro has some weird old friends. Yumi is an aging beauty, who likes to hit people on the back of the head, and who feels like she could just die. Yumi gets shot in the head with the robber’s gun, but there are no scorch marks, so it has to be murder, not suicide. Then there is a fat guy with glasses who doesn’t say much. He takes a ten second trip to the bathroom, and when asked about it, he says it’s nothing. There is also a glasses girl who is married to "Takagi’s twin brother" who is really good at ping pong. Lastly, there is a big burly police officer guy who seems like Mouri’s best friend, but is probably the murderer. They are all excited about watching a firework show, but no one ends up watching it because they all wanted to take baths instead. They are also intent on getting a spot to watch the fireworks from when the view from their hotel is just as nice. (And less crowded) And rain is really loud in this episode.
Best Quotes:
Yumi: “I feel like I could just die…. I’m kidding! I just felt like saying it!”
***
Police Friend: “Hey Ran-san, long time no see!”
Yumi: “I saw her a few days ago, but she’s really grown up!”
Episode 26: Pet Dog John Murder Case
A slovenly guy, who takes peoples wallets and won’t tell them when he’s going to give them back, is taking care of another guy’s pet dog John. He invited his girlfriend over and she has never been in such a big living room. The phone rings and it’s the owner checking up on John. However, when the slovenly guy goes to get John at the top of the steps, the dog freaks out and attacks him, knocking him down the stairs. Conan has telepathic bonds with John; and Ran, sitting by the window in her room, letting the wind blow her hair, has telepathic bonds with Shinichi. Conan deduces that the owner sent his dog a killing command over the phone, because, for some reason, no one could ever possibly imagine that the dog could attack someone on his own. Somehow, even though all this drama is going on, the detective boys still find time to go swimming. Genta looks like a huge rock in the swimming pool.
Best Quotes:
Conan: (Opening Speech) “Dogs can’t talk, but there is always one truth.”
Girlfriend: (About John’s House) “This is the first time I’ve been in such a big living room!”
"Is a reason necessary? I don't know why you would kill someone but as for saving someone...a logical mind isn't needed, right?"
-Kudo Shinichi
