DCP Spring Advantage 2016
I applied to become apart of the Disney College Program for Spring advantage 2016 the first day applications dropped, August 24. After that I was immediately asked to complete a Web Based Interview on August 25. I was terrified I would pick the wrong answers but I took it trying to be myself and was told I was a strong candidate and to schedule a Phone Interview. The day I picked for my interview was September 4. That morning I received a call from a lovely lady named Kathy. She helped me feel comfortable and less nervous and by the end of the interview I was happy with how it went and if I was accepted or denied I was proud of myself. I kept seeing people getting accepted wither it was on Tumblr or on Facebook so I began to lose hope (even though it was still very early in the time frame). Then I checked my dashboard on September 23 and saw a ‘Congratulations’ I panicked and quickly checked my email to see I had been accepted. I was so excited and immediately accepted. I was placed in Quick Service Food and Beverage, not what I hoped for but exciting nevertheless. Fast forward a few weeks and on October 6 I found myself in Salt Lake City Utah to audition to be a character performer. I thought I was doing good during rehearsal but then to me it seemed every time the casting director looked at me I fumbled. I left without being asked to stay long but not having been cut completely. So now here I am today. 16 days left to receive an email from Disney regarding my audition (I have prepared myself for a no but I will never give up). 96 days till my Disney Adventure begins and I get to work on towards my dream come true.
