The first time I saw that sign on 1/12/14, I knew my life was going to change. #dcpspring2014
Seeing everyone starting their CPs or my friends continuing their CPs breaks my heart. I’m so so so happy that I’m home, but I feel like I don’t have anything left for me here. Everything I want is in Florida. I feel depressed because all of my friends are there and working for the Walt Disney Company was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Working there has made me the happiest I’ve been in a very long time and it hurts that I’m no longer doing what makes me happy. All this probably sounds stupid, but I don’t like me when I’m not in Disney. I know I made the decision to come home instead of extend, and that was the hardest decision I’ve had to make, but, I thought it was the best thing for me to do. I see now that the best thing for me to do would’ve been to stay where I knew I would be happy. I know that I’m a seasonal Cast Member now, but it seems nearly impossible for me to be able to work seasonal. I’m going to try my hardest though. I’m miserable here at home, but I need to be here for school. Someone please help me out of this Disney Depression!
The Aftermath of DCP
First off, I would like to start off by apologizing to anybody following me and myself for not posting as often as I planned. For any future CPs out there, once you are there you'll understand how hard it is to keep up with a normal life. I rarely had time to even call my mom let alone write out blog posts about my daily experiences! I wish so much that I could have kept up with it, but it is a crazy life down in FL.
Now, let me just say, IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN DOING THE COLLEGE PROGRAM DO IT. I wish I could begin to put into words how incredible this experience was. I knew going into it that I was going to have a blast. I mean, HELLO!!!! Free entry into any Disney theme park whenever I wanted?! (minus a block out date or two, of course) But, I never imagined in a million years just how amazing it would really be.
They really don't warn you enough when you go down to Florida, but this is a 100% life changing experience. I got to interact with thousands of people from around the world each and everyday. I got to work with the most spectacular people from around the world each and everyday. I got to be in the most magical place in the world that people save up for years and years to go to each and everyday. I got to see little princesses and pirates as they walked into the Magic Kingdom for the first time each and everyday. Not only did I get to make dreams come true each and everyday, I got to have my own dreams come true each and everyday. I had days where I just started tearing up at work because I was so overwhelmingly happy and proud to be working in the most magical place in the world.
I was one of the lucky ones however. I got the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Without my coworkers, this experience would not have been what it was. I always tell people when they ask me about the program, it truly is what you make of it. I knew CPs who hated their job, hated their coworkers, hated their roommates, and hated going to the parks and just couldn't wait to go home, I can understand if you don't like your job or the people that you are forced to be around, but if you don't put yourself out there to meet people and just enjoy the time that you have then of course you won't enjoy it. One of the most important aspects of the program is realizing just how lucky you are. People would KILL to be working and living the life that you have. You have to treat it right.
All in all, this program has changed my life for the absolute better. I suggest that everyone does it if you have ever considered doing it. If you are a Disney lover, and even if you are only just a small fan, the program is worth it. You get to work for one of the most prestigious companies in the world, which will eventually help you to get a great job in the future if you play all your cards right, but you also get to live and play in Disney and the surrounding areas for the time that you are there.
I want to use this blog to share my tips and opinions on the program for any future CPs and anyone who is just interested in the program! I also want to share the thousands of pictures I got with everyone. So, stick around because the journey is still going to continue! I know that this will not be the last time I work for Disney, and I can't wait to share my experience and future experiences with y'all.
Stay magical. xoxo

Today I woke up and went and overlooked my apartment to make sure I got everything, then I officially turned in my key and my ID. After that I went and returned my costumes. Then my mom and I went to Universal! We waited in line and bought our tickets then when we got there we went to a couple shops then we went to Seuss Landing and rode the Cat in the Hat, then we went and ate. After lunch we went back to Seuss landing and rose One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Then we went through more shops! After that we went to Hogsmeade!!! It was literally the coolest thing in the world. We were there for awhile. We rode all three rides, drank butterbeer. I saw the frog choir and the durmstrang & beauxbatons students! Then we did the wand show. After that we went to Jurassic park and got a drink and sat for awhile then made our way to Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges! We got completely soaked. Then we rode the Spider-Man Ride & got pretzels and rode Storm Force Acceleration. Then we left! After that we went back to the resort and I went into the pool for a little bit then we got out and came and ate dinner! Now I’m about to go to bed.

Today I went to Hollywood studios with my family. We were there until I had to go to work at 5:30. We met Buzz and Woody, rode toy story mania, the great movie ride, and ate at Pizza Planet. It was so fun! After my family came to my resort and we ate dessert. At work I started in pizza and went on my break. After my break I was sent to be pizza stocker and I did that for awhile until I went and asked to be moved to my closing spot. At 9ish I started preclosing bakery. We were done at 12:09, which never happens. Tonight was good. After work I came back to my hotel and ate dinner, and now it’s 2am and I’m about to go to bed!
