Just as pleasant as the scent of sweets is the tinny sound of bells as the young woman peruses the munchy merchandise. There's some hunger in Sakuya's gut as she browses, but of course. But stronger than that is the shine in her eyes. These prices...!

"Hmmm... hmhmhm... oh! Hello there~!" Her drawling welcome is made when proprietress makes an appearance, as if she wasn't the customer in the equation. Yet to be seen. "Just taking a look around here at all you've got. It all looks so tasty though. What would you say... is the MOST popular thing you sell?"

Hmm? Mmmhmmmm, oh, she gets it. From the very first hit of that welcoming, customer-service sweetened coo to the glimmer in said patron's eye— Honey could recognize a look like that from miles away. And yet, it changes very little in her own approach: emerging from the kitchen with her typical brightness, some baubles on her outfit jingling as hands excitedly clasp near her chest.

❝ Hello-hello to you, sweetness! welcome, welcome~ ❞ she makes sure her hands are free from any sugar or spices with another quick swipe along her apron, moving out from behind the counter as she did. it's a quiet moment in the shop, after all; no harm in being a bit more personable. ❝ And thank you; it's, like, my solemn guarantee that everything is at least as delicious as it looks. But as for the biggest crowd pleasers? ❞ she pauses just long enough to raise her finger, swiveling it around until she found her target, and pointed thusly: ❝ Everyone loves a good pain au chocolat; buttery layers of pastry with rich semi-sweet chocolate layered in? how could you not?— and I have plenty of loyal folks who come back for the yakgwa and half-moon rice cakes; those're my, like, time-honored specialties. ❞

...they're reminded, however briefly, of some similarly chiding words from their wife (cushioned in barely-stifled laughter); the catalyst which ultimately resulted in there being no real doors to speak of in the Adherent's home. today: she grumbles.

Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would Honey do (dew)?

a VERY excellent question, with many possible answers... er, well, maybe slightly less if the given utensil is truly a pencil, and not some other brush-tipped or otherwise calligraphy-given instrument—muscle memory imbued through so many hours of practice writing the characters/drawing the runes for various charms or the circles for certain spells sees her idly brushing those out pretty often, but that'd require at least a decent fountain pen to pull off properly.

pencil and paper? well, she makes a lot of lists; brainstorming potential ingredient combinations and the like, usually inspired by something in her immediate environs: a scent, a sight, or a word someone said which correlates to a flavor, starting with one element and building from there. a lot of what look like equations, many things struck out, circled, or with a bunch of question marks next to them—speculating just how good any of the theoretical makes might be. especially good ideas get messily circled a dozen times over and marked with a star (or several)... not that she ever looks at the note again, afterwards. she just remembers that she did it, even if the paper ends up crumpled and tossed shortly after.

if she's keeping any bit of scrap, it's for good reason, and that's usually only when she's sketched something on it which she'll want to use as a reference for one of her more ornate projects-to-be:

sugar sculptures are a fine example, though especially complex cakes aren't unheard of, either. it's true that Honey usually prefers to 'wing it' in the kitchen, working off of inspiration in the moment without so much of a clear end vision in mind—but every now and then the sweet little artist will draw something up and want to recreate that image as faithfully as possible.

more often than not she would gravitate toward something related to her crafts. but there's a chance she just ends up doodling en-general. she likes drawing little critters :0) like her lumies. or kitty cats. or a stranger's dog. maybe some birdies. whatever's clever.
