When I started out with Dollfie Dreams, I’d sorted out my projected vinyl crew’s back stories. I’d designated my first DD to be the mother figure in their shared story, but found myself not falling in love with the DDH-05 head (middle in this pic), the first DD head I ever owned.
At the time I bought it, it was a toss-up between a pre-painted DDH-05 or the pre-painted DDH-06; both were available in the online marketplace. Somehow, the DDH-05′s stock photos from Volks were more convincing. I ended up letting go of the DDH-05 and pining for a DDH-06. LESSON LEARNED: DO NOT TRUST THE STOCK PHOTOS FFFFF---
I started with Dollfie Dreams in 2013 and it’s taken me this long to rectify that very first “mistake.” XD I thought I could have the M.O.M.O. sculpt as my mother figure, but upon receiving her, realized she lent herself better to being the “older sister” type.
Three years in the making, and it feels great to finally have a Mama-san for my girls. I’d been feeling a bit lost about how to do photo stories without their mother figure (she was meant to be the first, after all), and I’m hoping her presence pulls me out of my rut. More pics of her will be popping up on this blog soon, and hopefully I can balance it out with my BJDs and Pullips. ❤
