Disa

Queen to the previous Sovran of Vermund, she took charge of the kingdom's government after his death. She schemes to install her beloved son Sven as the next king. She has the grace and haughtiness of royalty, and is cool-headed and disdainful.

Sven

The beloved son of Queen Regent Disa and a candidate to become the next consul ruler. He is not party to his mother's conspiracies, and is concerned with doing what is right. He has a princely elegance, but his boyish sincerity sometimes turns to naïveté.

This always stood out to me about the ornate box quest:

I like how the dialogue compares Sven to being a pawn in both senses to Disa. And how getting the ornate box for himself was a demonstration of his own will.

For a world where no one has true free will but the current Arisen (The Dragonforged remarks upon this, that he feels the world's will compelling him to help you), it's interesting to see the earnest pursuit of will by other mortals being commented on so directly.

I also feel like there's some other interesting commentary to be made here about this, or about the themes of DD2 or the dogma lore's focus on will in general.
