"You're wrong about me!"
I dunno Fisk your extremely bloody suit and the trail of bodies behind you says otherwise
Gif: @serializedcomics
I'll never get tired of the way Dex walks, swaying his body and head like a little slut (affectionately)
You know it's the real Bullseye when he moves like his body weighs a lot (it does).
Let's go girl show them who's boss.
“Sorry, pal. Wrong bullseye.”
I love when my man causes chaos over some small thing hehehehe
So much to say that I'm lost for words. for one thing: wow wow, so much happened! For two: when we had that Karedevil fake-out scene at their restaurant, I was worried we wouldn't get a true scene there. But then there was one at the end, and omggggg, Matt on his knees in front of Karen as he's being arrested! The imagery!!! For three: Matt & Karen MVPs as usual!!
Bonus: Jessica's and Luke's reunion made me feel all tingly, can't wait for more
Each season for Daredevil: Born Again has ended with a Radiohead song
First season was "Everything In Its Right Place".
The finale of the second season this week uses "Pyramid Song".
These choices can't be coincidental. I'm not a Radiohead super fan, so what could their use in Born Again season finales mean?
And what likely could be the choice for season 3?
Anyone got any ideas behind the symbolism here and any guesses for a future track choice?
Please, lemme know 🙏
DDBA Season 2 Finale Review
First of all - WOW 🤩
After feeling really disappointed by the previous episodes and honestly almost losing faith in the show, they delivered this: a phenomenal peak, an absolutely epic ending.
But I have very mixed feelings. It’s like: oh, so you can tell an incredible story… then what happened in the majority of the season? Why this inconsistency?
Anyway…
1. Pacing
The pacing in this episode is gold. I’m genuinely surprised they managed to wrap up all the loose ends without it feeling rushed or incomplete.
2. Editing
Clean, focused, and for the first time, the story actually flows like a story. We follow the main narrative instead of constantly jumping between fragmented character threads.
3. The metaphor of “THE MASK” 👹
I kind of wish the court clip hadn’t leaked beforehand, because it really took away from the anticipation. It already hinted so strongly that Matt might reveal his identity in public!
But even so, when Matt said “I am Daredevil”, I literally jumped off the couch. I could feel my blood boiling.
People compare this moment to “I am Iron Man”. For me this hits even harder. Tony’s reveal fits his personality: bold yes, but expected eventually.
Matt’s situation is different. In this show, secret identity isn’t just a mask or protection. It’s control. It regulates his inner conflict, his rage, his place in society.
As Matt the lawyer, he operates within the system, constrained by law and morality. As Daredevil, that restraint collapses into violence and instinct. Exposing that identity doesn’t just blur the boundary between human and devil, it also destabilised everything around him.
It also ties directly into Fisk’s narrative: controlling vigilantes, suppressing unrest, consolidating power. It echoes how real systems respond to masked resistance and rebellion.
This is why Matt needing to understand and assert who he is becomes so critical at this point.
I know some people criticize Matt for not killing Fisk, but that restraint is exactly the point. In many ways, Fisk represents a distorted mirror of Matt - they both trying to “fix” the city, just through opposite philosophies. Foggy saw this clearly from the very beginning (S1E10).
The confrontation scene, and Matt offering a truce, strongly echoes the original series’ “you don’t get to destroy who I am” moment. In both cases, Matt removes his mask, suggesting that his humanity ultimately overpowers the devil.
What’s especially powerful is how the show expands that idea:
Some characters, like BB, remove their masks to face truth. Heather, on the other hand, chooses to put one on and reflect herself through it. Others fight behind masks and die in them.
The metaphor of “the mask” is pushed to its peak here, and it genuinely gives chills. Masterpiece!👏👏👏
4. Performance & Visuals
Matt looks incredibly hot in this episode. Even injured, sweaty, exhausted, arrested… the charm is unreal 🥵
Though I do wonder if the makeup & hair team changed at some point… those wigs might haunt me forever…
Charlie and Vincent’s performances are the two pillars of this show, even at its lowest points. Deborah, however, after feeling almost invisible for much of the season, absolutely shines like a diamond in this episode, especially in the court scene. Her micro-expressions alone deserve an award! 🥇
5. Where is Claire?
Jessica stitching Matt up was rough, brutal, and almost intentional. Like she’s secretly enjoying it (we get you)
But… where the hell is Claire?
And Luke shows up at the end, but I didn’t really feel chemistry with Jessica there. Again, are we just not going to address when or how Luke and Claire broke up? Especially since she was already mentioned/hinted at earlier on after Matt pulled himself up from the Hudson River.
6. Post-credits
I expected a post-credit scene teasing Valentina recruiting Bullseye… but nothing. Maybe later, we’ll see.
7. Final note
And lastly: the trailer for this show is so misleading.
Give us the deleted scenes back!
