jonathan’s mouth fell open slightly as he was struck by steve’s words, heart breaking slightly. was it all so bad that the other wouldn’t want to remember — wouldn’t want to remember him? he quickly closed his mouth and swallowed thickly. “wh-what do you mean?” he stuttered slightly, trying to find his voice. maybe he didn’t want to know the answer, but he had to ask. “what is it you don’t like? you had a lot of good things going for you, steve. you have a lot of people who need you, who love you.” i need you. perhaps this was for the better — jonathan would only pull the other down if he chose to push his feeling onto the other.
