Comfort Food Nowhere better to take a recuperating friend but to Duck Duck Goose in Rosedale where chef-owner Willie takes good care of you, aided by wife Yessika. Love the congee DDG style. rice porridge cooked just right in chicken stock with chicken & soft poached egg. Add the condiments of browned shallot, toasted peanut, crispy pock hock & sesame cracker. We chose a petite spinach bao with pork belly, bbq sauce & aioli. Easter catch up with photographer Ken @kendownie at Duck Duck Goose, Rosedale. Chef Willie @nguyenwillie produced excellent dishes while Yessika @yesyessika took the best care of us. We had amuse bouche of roast lamb with Yessika’s dipping sauce that packed a punch with Sichuan pepper and @ddgnz’s variation of Gado Gado. I really wanted to try the Congee, with poached chicken, crispy pork hock, poached egg, sesame cracker and condiments of crispy shallot and toasted peanut. I so love this congee and condiments. Photographer Ken had the pork Belly Bao, of original bao, carrot & daikon pickle slaw, bbq sauce, aioli.
