imma be straight with y’all, if one of my faves (including but not limited to @abadtakehonestly @hotdapologist @valeskafics ) gets shadow banned i straight up just do not know only because i go straight to their blog, cause i am not scrolling through the tags to see if they posted (unless they ask to just make sure they have been released from the shadowlands) i just go straight to their page cause even if they didn’t post new chapters they still answers asks and everything and that brightens up my day

i watched bullet train today and let me tell you 🥵🥵 arron taylor-johnson and logan lerman were looking so good. like atj’s character was the cutest, i absolutely loved him 🥹🥹. i thought the movie was pretty good. would absolutely watch again.
i did also enjoy brad pitt’s character. the fact that he was i guess trying to be a pacifist and still managed to be one of the few surviving members on that train. my favorite part of the movie, as i keep telling everyone, is that i enjoyed that it took place on a singular train. absolute hearts all around.
Just finished Malcom and Marie and my friend said they argue too much and another said that they should break up.
I love them, but I think they’re not taking into account the fact that this is an acclamation and accumulation of 5 years worth of a relationship. 5 years worth of her taking his shit, and there have probably been fights before, but there is a reason this is their biggest one, there’s a reason that this is an explosion of words that just aim to hurt rather than criticize and discuss.
The trailers were right in saying that this is not a love story, because it’s not. It’s a story of two people who love each other but don’t communicate when they need to, a story of loving someone and doubting that they love you because you are broken, because they often forget the little things.
It wasn’t a perfect movie, but it was a good one in showing the damage that a relationship holds if you hold it in, when one of you is more doubtful than the other, when things become too much so you discuss and fight about everything, but that everything just proves the point of the original point of the fight.
Okay but that bathroom scene
“You just need a reason to be needed...You can’t imagine the reason that I’m with you is because I love you”
It’s often that I question my friends as to why they are friends with me. It’s often that I question my significant other as to why they are with me, because just like Malcom said, i can’t imagine people are with me because they love me. I felt that with every fiber of my being, but the part that got me to cry wasn’t that one, no it was what he said after.
“She loathes herself so much because of all the guilt and shame that she can’t let the good in. Her inability to fathom that there’s someone on this planet Earth that just loves her. Despite her not loving herself.”
That’s the part that hit me because in every relationship I have, no matter if it’s friendship or an actual relationship I wonder “how can this person love me? What do I contribute to their life? Why did they pick me? How can someone love me in ways that I don’t even love myself? How is that possible? How can they see the good when I can’t?” As much as I present myself with this air of confidence and thinking I am the best thing to enter some people’s lives, that’s all it is, a presentation.
This movie isn’t just an observation of the movie industry or a relationship that seems like it’s ready to blow, it’s an insight into the minds of everyone with a mental illness and how they feel and how one single mess up can trigger a fight that has been 5 years worth coming. It is the story that tells multiple stories without even trying to and yet it manages it anyway.
I'm not even finished yet, but I love the way that in the description it talks about how Beth has to navigate drugs and alcohol, but they aren't in the forefront of everything she does. She only takes the drugs when she thinks she needs them and the alchohol comes in way later.
I also love how the men respect her. Yeah it's because of her intellect, but that's what makes it sexier, like usually men doubt all smart women, but these men actually thank her for beating them because it makes them better, like that is hella attractive.
The subtle way that her friends mention her addictions and show that they care. Like even Benny, who she isn't really friends with yet is concerned about her drinking and that just makes me happy that even though her mother isn't with her anymore, she still has people who care about her.
