Hanktor (The Hanks x Hector) x Sewing Supplies!reader
Summary: A relationship dynamic with the Hanks, Hector, and you (who is the homeowner’s sewing supplies)
Warnings: Gender neutral reader (IE no specific gender, anatomy, and pronouns mentioned). Mentions of the reader getting severely injured and losing limbs, and other things but not being in pain since they’re part rag doll.
Author’s Snip: I watched Nightmare Before Christmas and Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure and got inspired by Sally and the Raggedy siblings to write something with a rag doll based reader figured that the Hanks would be perfect since they do stunts, but I’m really into The Hanks x Hector rn too so I throw Hector in there too.
I’ll shut up now. Enjoy! And don’t be afraid to request. Reblogs and comments appreciated but no pressure.
Just some basic concept for you:
The basic idea is that you’re a dateable that basically an amalgamation of the homeowner’s sewing supplies and some scrap fabric that they have in order to fix any rips and tears in their clothes, which leads you to be this mix between a ragdoll and pincushion
You’re able to lose limbs and just sew it back on, not feeling anything, Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas style, even making new ones if you have enough fabric to do it
You usually work as a sort of medic for any fabric based dateables when they need fixing like Mateo, Teddy, Dirk, etc. Maybe you’re not exactly a doctor character, but they definitely go to you when they pop a stitch or get a tear. But otherwise you just sort of sit around doing nothing so you sort of just stumbled into hanging around the Hanks to have some thrills every now and again, which causes you to also meet Hector when they do aero stunts
I also like to think that your limbs can move independently when detached. So you can do a little Frankie Stein/Thing thingy with your hands where they can “walk around” and do things for you
Actual Headcanons:
The Hanks think it’s really cool that you can do basically anything and not need to worry about dying if something goes wrong since you’re made of fabric and stuffing and you can just sew anything you lost back on. It does secretly scare them though because they care about you as an honorary Hank and don’t want to see their homie and partner get hurt in any way, especially H2nk and H5nk who tend to be the bigger caretakers of the group
The Hanks and Hector doe their best to help you put yourself back together after any nasty stunts gone wrong
You went skydiving with the Hanks while Hector was running his systems, but your foot caught on a snag in the metal of the grate, so when you jumped, your leg tore clean off at the stitches. Hector felt so bad and apologized profusely for it till you had to calm him down and assure him that you’re fine. You were able to distract him by asking him politely to get your leg for you while the Hanks tried to collect the stuffing that fell out of you.
It all got very lighthearted after that though. Hector bashfully gave you your leg back and even held it in place while you sewed it back on while trying not to stare at your legs like a pervert. H3nk asked if he could “Give you more stuffing”.
Both the Hanks and Hector do their best to triple check everything now so that accidents don’t happen like that again, both for your sake and the Hanks safety since to be honest they do think that it’s a little freaky that you can basically get mangled and just… live and put yourself back together. It’s cool, no doubt, but it’s creepy to see your upper and lower torso… not connected
Don’t worry, you still get to be a part of the fun
You also help make sure all the Hanks’ equipment is safe and secure like their wingsuits, gliders, and parachutes, fixing any rips or holes. It’s actually great for down time. I can see all the Hanks sitting around while you’re working on something. It’s like the lost boys gathering around Wendy
I think the Hanks would absolutely love the idea of you customizing their things like doing embroidery on their suits and parachutes to make them special to them and keep anything that you make for them. Hector especially does this. You could make him a little doll out of some scraps and he’d treasure it. You made him a little pillow for when he’s in the vents so that he’s have something to ease having to lay on the hard surface. Nearly cried
You try to teach them how to sew. It varies on how successful they all are in learning. Hector, Hank 1, 2, and 5 get the hang of it pretty well. Hank 4… has great spirit and effort. Hank 3 is actually really good at it and will often practice with you since he wants to be a brain surgeon someday and obviously you should know how to sew somebody back up.
I actually like to think that when your mishaps are… particularly bad, they help sew you back together once you do this. It lets them feel like their helping out
Hector likes the calmness of being with you while you sew and he writes. It’s very peaceful and sweet. Sometimes he actually gets distracted by watching you sew. The way you do the motions so effortlessly and rhythmically is almost hypnotic to him. He could watch you sew and embroider for hours.
Post realization I like to think that you especially help H1nk with his business with making the parachutes for dogs. You don’t have to but he appreciates it even gives you a share of it since it would only be right since you most likely helped make the patterns for them.
Also, if we want to make up an ending for you, we can say that you start up your own business like a tailor, or making clothes, making dolls, something that puts your abilities to excellent use. And you best believe that the Hanks and Hector support you with no bounds. You need a model to help you sew a garment? You have six whole guys with varying body types (in my hc) to work with.
And they also promote you so hard, shamelessly. Especially the Hanks. They have never heard the word ‘subtle’ in their lives.
This also might sound a little grim but they also all help you break any habits you might have had back in your object days. I imagined that you would just stick pins in you since you were part pincushion and so sometimes you still accidentally do that as a human. They convince you to make a pincushion wristband so that you don’t actually prick yourself anymore.
You of course inherently know that as a human you can’t do the whole “ just put yourself back together” thing anymore so you don’t shrug off danger anymore. But I do like to think that you look for your stitches out of habit whenever you want to do something like get something from the other room
“Where are my wrist stitches?” “You’re not a doll anymore, mi amor.” “Oh yeah…”
