I love Event Horizon Ranboo's mother so much. I wanted to give this piece a very dreamlike quality to add to the fact we never really learn much about her, only what Ranboo remembers, which is obviously very biased. So her bed looks magical and like it's not possible.

AD ASTRA PER ASPERA GUYS

It took but a moment after hearing the prompt for my brain to go "I want to stay, he wants to go".

Ohhhhhh..

I'm sad I didn't write that down in quotation marks on the drawing, but if you look closely at the bottom right, you can see that I was going to. Unfortunately, the ink had to be put away. ink is fun. this was very fun to make. sad.

Anyway, so I know that the symbol of the syndicate is not a L'Manburg flag, but I just put those things wherever I can, man.

Was this the result of the "I do not draw Tubbo's eyes ever" philosophy? Not necessarily. While I have to admit that I think that is pretty cool, I don't do that myself normally, which sort of makes this drawing interesting. Like, why don't we see his eyes then? Is it because of the distance and sad from after that whole sort of maybe half-of-a divorce thing? I certainly didn't give this man a braid here (cries.) and look at how distant that expression is. It totally could be along those lines assuming this is Ranboo's POV.

That border of plain paper around Tubbo makes him look a bit divine in a way. It's separating them again I think, reminiscent of the way Ranboo paints Tubbo in such a higher light than himself in his head. And then it kind of looks like light, like, oh idk Heulwen or something.

meanwhile the border is also separating Tubbo from the stars around him.

The Event Horizon series/universe was created by @hellenite, and it is so very fire and I like it very much, and it also very very much inspired this drawing. Due to this series existing, I now am subject to giggling seemingly out of nowhere even more than previously thought.
