Anyone got a complete list of functions on the de-gun?
de-gun is almost finished!
only thing left to do is detail painting :D
Working on the de-gun for my megamind cosplay!
(Toy cowboy gun, spinning barrel from a popgun, headband, hair clips, spice jar, bubble wand and tube, plastic bottle caps, half a plastic easter egg, and various bits of cut plastic all hot glued together.
Everything covered in modeling paste, then painted.
Hand sewn fabric grip added.)
What do you guys think so far?
OH MY GOODNESS THEY'RE FINALLY DONE. :'D
I'm proud to present...version 2.0 of Megamind's DE-gun! (Cross-posted at the ever-fantastic Megamind LJ community. c: Oh, and here's v.1.0 for reference.)
Thanks for looking, and do let me know what you think! <33
ladystormcrow replied to your post: what is this abomination that I have created
Hee, it’s making me giggle too =D It looks like it’s made out of butter or frosting. I hope it turns out well (if not necessarily delicious)!
Hahaha, I have definite doubts about whether this would taste very good, even though it is marketed as being food-safe! XD
And eww, that would be the grossest frosting/butter ever, all globby and self-hardening in seconds...now I'm tempted to make a cake shaped like the DE-gun and lemon-frost it, just for kicks. Should I do it?
Are you still working on the De-Gun mold? :)
Ooh, yes I am! :D I've been sanding and applying acrylic sealant like crazy in-between horrible illnesses (and reactions to medicines, bleh) and finals the past couple of weeks. :3 Also, I made the "innards" to the mold that will make the cast hollow. I'd planned to start painting silicone earlier this week, but more sickness made me put it off (the doc said my bronchitis wouldn't be helped by toxic inhalants, pssh). Tomorrow will probably be my day to get everything done. *rubs hands together gleefully* ;)
Here's a pic of the gun and the inside mold part (which will also be covered in silicone, and will probably look quite dirty when it is--you should've seen the looks on my neighbors' faces when I was spray-sealing this thing!):
I've always wondered why those cubes glow from the inside when you dehydrate people. Is that their souls or something?
It's more a trick of the light, dear Anon, related to the de-hydrate setting on the de-gun.
[She holds it up and spins the mid-section - each different setting lights it up in a different color.]
Most of the effects aren't exactly what the name displays -
[Motioning at several - de-ath and de-coupage in particular, she smiles sheepishly. Those were named either to fit the de theme or to look threatening.]
- but each causes the object or person caught in the beam to have a glow identical to the one showing in the barrel of the gun.
[Holstering the gun again, she leans forward, elbows on her desk and head in her hands.]
I hope that was helpful!
