Kaylins the true winner of the episode 😂 just trying her best while shouldering the expectations of all three teams in Sams twisted game of telephone
Orsina of Melidrie is a paladin of the Order of the Sun, sworn to drive out corruption and chaos wherever she finds it. She has been in search of a great evil she is supposedly destined to destroy, but after two years of fighting monsters and demons and evil gods, she is no closer to her goal.
Aelia is the Goddess of Caprice. The Order of the Sun has classified her as a chaos goddess, meaning that her worship has been outlawed. During a run-in with Orsina, she is trapped in a mortal body.
Intending to use Orsina for protection, Aelia pretends to be an ordinary woman fleeing an abusive family as she hunts down the magical relic that will free her. As the two grow closer, Aelia wrestles with her own desire to tell Orsina the truth about who she is, and her fear that Orsina will turn on her if she does.
Daughter of the Sun is the second book in the Tales of Inthya series, though it can be read as a standalone!

Hey you can’t really like. Do anything about somebody perceiving your behavior as rude. Like they’re not telling you you’re doing something illegal they’re just saying hey you’re kinda being a shithead. It’s not discrimination or oppression for somebody to tell you you’re acting like a shithead rn.
“Wahhh why can’t I blare my TikToks in a shared public space!”
You CAN dude. In fact you ARE. You’re just going to be perceived as kinda shitty for it.
Reblog if you are a human rights extremist who believes that all humans are equal and has no sense of loyalty to nation states.
the Internet Archive put the slogan "universal access to all knowledge" on a T-shirt and now I think about it every day. possibly the first principle I've encountered that I believe in strongly enough I'd get a tattoo of it.
this only works for a very very specific definition of knowledge. what's that definition again? after all, if we have no distinct referent or class of referents, the sentence is literally meaningless....
there's a thick aura of "must be fun at parties" wafting off this response, but perhaps it is in fact useful to clarify: personal knowledge exempt, like your private correspondence, diaries, photos, medical data, etc etc.
all other classes included. no government secrets. no corporate secrets. no library borrowing restrictions. no academic journal paywalls. basically if it's information that doesn't naturally belong to the individuals it pertains to then I don't think anyone should face barriers to accessing it.
having anti role models is a beautiful thing. it's not easy to live up to someone else's behavior but it is easy to lasso yourself into behaving right when you realize you're reminding yourself of the worst person youve ever met in your entire life
This is true btw
the podcast If Books Could Kill has a really great episode on the original book and its legacy! just a bunch of misogynist evangelical bullshit really

to be clear this is a fully sincere political belief that I have. I am pro copyright infringement and in fact anti "asking for permission to make derivative art"

Wait, is this the 'planet of the bass/women are my favorite guy' man?
yep. he also made Every Irish Drinking Song (Kill A Fuckin' Englishman And Throw Him In The Sea), Every Rock Song (Well She Was Just Thirteen, I Was Twenty One), and my personal favourite, Girl of the Heart (The Pleasure Will Come To The Star), a recent one.
