Video Premiere: “Circuits” from Mike Pays Heat
Philadelphia indie-rockers Mike Pays Heat are gearing up for the release of their debut full-lengthTape 1 Play. In The mean time, we are excited to premiere the video for their latest track “Circuits”. Beginning with a lethargic and captivating bass line, it is a stark contrast to “NNFS”, the energetic first single off the record. Frontman Ian Hunter's vocals cease halfway through the track, allowing for the surprising jangle of banjo to take over the main melody. Focusing on an illustration by local artist Kelly Gillin-Schwartz, the video is simple yet beautiful.
“Circuits” is equal parts unexpected and refreshing, and definitely solidifies Mike Pays Heat as a band to keep your eye on. Tape 1 Play is due out January 15th 2016 via Dead Medium Records.
