Here's another one that has made its way to the cutting room floor ✂😑😔. #sunissky #skyiscoming #amediting #deaddarlings ___________________________________________ Brown Twigs - Each morning, I pass a field of brown twigs growing from an ordinary plot of dirt colored nearly the same shade as the twigs themselves and I wonder–Why? Why would God paint a twig the same color as the dirt it’s growing from? Why plant a field of twigs that adds nothing to the landscape, a crop that in the morning light appears lost against the brown dirt as it makes its way, lines straight as a cornrow, across an uneven expanse of earth? One day a single bud popped out. It still wasn’t anything to look at, just a dull green bulb at the end of a brown twig. Eventually, a bunch of those buds started to sprout. Before long, the field was overrun with light puffs of soft gray. Turns out all this time I’ve been looking onto a field of cotton just waiting to show me its glorious ways, those twigs too shy early on to reveal to me their wondrous potential. These days, I no longer consider myself a stink bug having witnessed such remarkable transformation from an ordinary plot of dirt.
